Say My Name
Hands frantically pull at locks of pastel orange hair. A moan splits the thick static in the air as two forms try to press harder together in the dark room.
"R-Rose-! A-ah, please!" more soft moans split the darkness around the softly glowing Pearl on her forehead as she grips large shoulders above her.
"Darling, slow down, we have nothing but time here. You know this."
Calm down, right Pearl reaffirms, loosening her hold on Rose's massive shoulders, a hand lost slightly as a voluminous pink curl slides over her trembling fingers, ensnaring them. "I-I'm sorry, forgive me…. Rose I…" The quartz above her smiles sweetly, understandingly. "I know, let me help you." Lips press softly against hers, smothering her in the scent of their sweat covered forms, Rose is leaning down into her, deeper, deeper. Pearl is almost sure that they could fuse at this point, and fuse they do, in a different sense entirely but still, the romance is there Pearl thinks almost bitterly. The moments between them are heightened by the panting, the gripping, grinding of their shared lusts as she struggles to hold onto her lover. Rose is gunning it now, pressing her hips so hard against Pearl's she thinks her bony body might break. Worth it, so worth it. Her thoughts push against her as she looks up into those bright shining eyes, feels that warm hand caress her face as they get close. "Rose- Rose, oh GODS ROSE!"
Something shifts and she feels the glow fading, a loud sound, an echo of her name she thinks. The lithe gem ignores it and presses insistently on Rose's shoulders. "Rose, Rose say it, say it please." The large gem just smiles obliviously down at her and the noise sounds out around them again, this time it's louder. She wants to cry, so she does. "Rose? What's wrong? W-What's happening?! Please, please just say Pearl one time I need you to just-" She watches in horror, tears threatening to fall as she watches the lips of the woman she loves form a name, but it isn't hers. Suddenly she's alone, cold sweat racing down her form as she sits up quickly. Her hair is an absolute mess, and her tiny scared pupils quickly scan the room, only to find Amethyst staring at her. "What the heck Pearl? What are you doing?!" She stands, albeit a little shakily but she does, giving Amethyst an equally wide stare. "What are you talking about? I'm fine, Amethyst." The shorter gem puffs in disbelief, crossing her arms over her chest. "Riiiiight, so all that moaning and crying I heard coming from here meant nothing, sure P."
Pearl feels her chest tightening, her fingers curl into her hair as she tries to fix it back to perfection. "Amethyst I just, I was simply having a bad dream, Steven said those are common to have…." She offers a shaky smile, hoping Amethyst will let the subject drop. For gems sake please drop it, please I can't, please, please, please-! "Ok fine, P, whatever you say I guess." The "I guess" is drawn out, the purple gem shifting uncomfortably, staring at the ground now instead of at the dancer as she steps back towards the temple door. Just as the pressure starts to fade, just as Pearl goes to let out a puff of air in relief, Amethyst's voice shatters the tension.
"Does she even say your name?"
She doesn't wait for an answer, she just slowly walks out of the room, head turned so Pearl can't see the constant flow of tears rushing from her tightly closed eyes. The question shatters the last of her resolve and as the door shuts she falls to her knees, arms circled tightly around her as she shakes hard, tears of her own joining the rushing water or one of her water pillars.
"No."
