A/N: Hi! This is my first Supernatural story so I hope I do it justice! Hope you like it!
Disclaimer: Unfortunately, I don't own Supernatural :(
Castiel knew he should stay away from the little green eyed boy, but he just couldn't seem to. He felt almost like he knew that soul from a time past, but he couldn't place it. He ruffled his downy wings and flew a bit closer to where the boy played in the sand. The boy turned quickly and seemed to look right at him. Castiel gasped and flew back. His fear that the boy may have seen him was mottled by a strange sense of happiness. Suddenly he heard a ruffle of feathers behind him.
"Castiel," a calm voice said freezing him in his place. He bowed his head and curled his wings towards him, trying to make himself as small as possible.
"Castiel," the voice said again, traveling around him, "You have been neglecting your duties."
"I am sorry Naomi," he whispered. Naomi slowly lifted his chin looking into his eyes.
"I know there are manifold curiosities on this earth for a young angel, but you must learn to abstain from indulging in them, you must stay away from this soul."
"Yes, Naomi," he said and bowed his head once more. She smiled at him and began to walk away.
"But he's just so wonderful!" The words had tumbled out of Castiel's mouth before he could stop them. He ducked his head, startled at his own brashness. "Castiel," Naomi whispered, "I will try to explain this to you again and you must heed my words. Stay away from this soul!" Castiel jumped back at the outburst and as he watched Naomi's seething figure disappear, he could help wondering, 'Why again?'
