This is my first detective conan fic. Please don't be too harsh. And I don't own Detective Conan either..I wish I do but I don't…really..anyway…Enjoy!

Chapter 1: A camping trip! Yay?

There he is. Seventeen years old famous high school detective who can solve any cases. Detective of the east who is thought to be missing for a year or already dead. Detective Shinichi Kudo. But the truth is, he has been shrunk to a his 7 years old form by two black organization member, Gin and Vodka. Now using the identity Conan Edogawa, he solves cases through 'sleeping kogoro'. But on top of all that there one thing he really hates being a child again…school.

"Stuck doing second grade schoolwork. So much for being a detective who can solve any cases.." The thought of that make Conan sighed. He watched the other kids who is still doing their schoolwork. As usual, he finishes his earlier than everybody. That's not unusual for a high school student. Conan looked at his watch. "great. .three more hours of boredom". Conan sighed again.

"Cheer up, Kudo" said a girl next to him. He knew that voice. There no one calls him Kudo in that class other than Haibara. He looked at her. She also already finishes her work and now reading a book. That's also not unusual to him because she is also like him.. not a second grader anymore. Infact she is the scientist who created the drug that shrunk both of them, Shiho Miyano or codename 'Sherry'.

"Look who's talking" said Conan. "You're the one who always with the poker face". He's right. She never shows her feeling to anyone. Itsasif she is wearing a mask. A mask that couldn't be taken off by anyone. But the mask now began to removed slowly. But still no one could tell what's on her mind.

"oh.. so you want me to smile, then?" said Haibara in a sarcastic tone while showing a fake smile.

"Ha hah..very funny Haibara" muttered Conan. "just mind your own business Haibara"

"fine with me" Agreed Haibara. She continues on reading her book.

After a few hours, the last bell finally rang. When all the kids in Conan class is busy packing their things, the teacher makes an announcement.

"Class, I want to tell you a great news. This upcoming weekend, all of us will go on a camping trip but make sure you ask your parents or your guardian for permission first" The whole class cheered except for of course Conan and Haibara. "and she was saying this is a great news?" thoughtConan. "great..just great" he muttered. "Hurray.." said Haibara in a not so cheerful tone.

"Ran nee-chan please!" beg Conan. "No. I will not lie to your teacher conan-kun" declined Ran. "Why can I just stay home instead of going to that camping trip?" ask Conan. "because..I'm going to Sonoko's house this weekend and dad is going away for a case. And don't even think about staying here alone. You're too young" said Ran. "Hello! Ran, I'm the same age as you are!" screamed Conan in his head. "but Ran-neechan.." Conan about to said when Ran cut him off. "No but. You're going to that trip young man. Besides, it would be fun!" She said in a motherly tone.

"yeah…fun" muttered Conan.
