Living life day by day…. When you know your time is almost up….
Saki Enomoto is a 3rd year student at Yamaku High. Yamaku High is not a normal school but a school for challenged or disabled teenagers. Getting along with people here for Saki is tough she wants to make new friends but is driven away by her fear of being rejected. But one day a boy walked up to her
"Hey, my name is Hisao Nakai nice to meet you" Said a boy with dirty blonde hair (Dirty blonde as in the color, information from the Wikipedia page)
Saki didn't know what to say to Hisao she softly replied "H-h-hi"
Her heart was racing she has never talked to anyone aside from her teachers at Yamaku High it felt like she was just a shadow, her existence ignored by everyone else….
"What's your name?" said Hisao politely.
"M-my name is S-Saki Enomoto," Saki responded.
"Hmph he doesn't know my name… guess my existence isn't even acknowledged," Saki thought to herself
"I'm new around here I just transferred to Yamaku High," Said Hisao
"Oh you must be the new student in class 3-3," Said Saki with a smile
"Yeah word sure spreads around fast I just transferred here this morning," said Hisao with a grin.
"Umm do you mind if I ask you why you're here?" Asked Hisao
Saki's bright smile suddenly turned into a state of fear, confusion and depression
"Oh…. I have a disease called spinocerebellar ataxia it makes me lose controls of my muscles slowly and will eventually … kill me," said Saki trembling
Hisao's grin quickly turns into a worried look when she said the last words….
Tear flowed down Saki's pale face
"I'm sorry…. I didn't know, don't cry… "Said Hisao trying to comfort Saki
Hisao wiped away Saki's tears and said "Hey it's ok live life one day at a time, you know I have Arrhythmia it's a heart condition I can die at any time but I continue living my life like nothing ever happened, there's no need to worry,"
Hisao embraced Saki in a tight hug. Saki put her arms around Hisao while still crying she managed to say "T-Thank you Hisao."
"It feels good letting out your emotions once in a while and telling someone about it thank you Hisao," said Saki with a cheerful smile.
"Oh it's 6 pm already?! I got to go, see you tomorrow Hisao!" Said Saki
"See ya" responded Hisao
And with that the two of them return to their separate dorms
