Human Elena and one of the Salvatore brothers spend their first night in a new home. Adorableness ensues. [Slight AU].

Your blue dress shirt, the one that was twice her size, was bunched around the small of her waist. It was one of the ones Lexi had bought for you a semicentury ago, your musk deeply baked into the fabric. Her soft breaths widened her torso, periodically allowing a small amount of midriff to be revealed momentarily. You watched silently, being careful not to stir her as you climbed up out of the mattress that was slumped on the floor. The soft carpet tickled the arches of your feet, and cushioned the sound of you walking across the room. Each hair on your bare leg sent a small tingle to your head, and the chill was enough to make you slightly uncomfortable. You turned your head once more to check her status, but she nuzzled her rosy cheeks further into your side of the bed now that you were gone. Across the room, boxes were stacked next to the largest bay window, but the shades were drawn to block the immense amount of sunlight that early morning offered. Trying not to wake your love, you shuffled around the first box of the pile to try and find something to wear. Your hand grazed over something cold and hard. You initially pulled back your hand, shocked at the difference with which you were expecting. "Our picture frame," you sighed raspily to yourself as you lifted the box with one arm, and placed it on the nearby dresser.

Sighing, you opened up the curtain slowly, allowing a small beam of light to gently wash over the room. You watched her hair lit up into golden brown strands strew across your pillow, lighting up the dim bedroom. Sniffing, she was there: the need was there. Her blood was warm, and attractive. Bot the same attraction you had felt a century prior, or even a few months ago. Elena had the type of blood that you wanted to be part of. Her pulse began to rise, making you aware of her consciousness. You didn't even turn around when you heard her morning voice. "Nice pants," she giggled as you were yanked back to bed.
