Princess2Princess

Summary: Flora starts a program at Royal Prep called "Princess2Princess," which allows some of the younger princesses to spend a day with a chosen princess and get some guidance. (Follow up to "Princess Convention")

Disclaimer: "Sofia the First" is just wonderful; however, I own nothing of this delightful show… Ah, well. :)

A/N: Here it is! Princess2Princess is basically my "follow up" to Princess Convention. This time, you'll get to see all of the princesses (minus Aurora, Snow White, and Cinderella—plus others who've not been involved in the StF realm) in action with the younger princesses from Royal Prep. I'll have a chapter for overview, and then each subsequent chapter will involve two princesses and their charges. Therefore, I should have a grand total of four chapters. :) Hope you enjoy it!

Chapter 1: Princess2Princess

"Did you hear?" Amber squealed as she moved up behind Sofia and Vivian in the hallway.

"Hear what?" Vivian asked, blinking at the other princess's nearly uncontained joy.

"Ms. Flora has a program called 'Princess2Princess' where we get to partner up with one of the princesses for a mentorship opportunity."

"Wait." Sofia stopped her and slowly started smiling. "The other princesses…as in…?"

"Rapunzel! Ariel, Belle, Jasmine—you name her!" The oldest royal of Enchancia twirled around and sighed happily. "This is like a dream come true. Now I hope Rapunzel will want to be my 'mentor' or whatever it's called, and I'll finally learn what it's like to be a perfect princess."

"You're already a pretty good one," Vivian commented with a blink. "How much different can you be just by hanging out with one of the others?"

"Well," Sofia started with a shrug, "actually, Vivian, I think Amber has a point. I've met…a few of the princesses before, and they have all had experiences we have yet to go through. Really, they may offer us a new perspective." She winked at Amber, who grinned knowingly.

"Yes, but we have to sign up if we want to be a part of the program." Amber put her hands on her hips. "I have talked to Hildegard and Clio, and they're signing up right now. Jun apparently signed up already. I know I have. So if you two want to be a part of this, you had better talk to Ms. Flora now."

The auburn-haired girl glanced at the princess of Zumaria and smiled. "What do you say, Vivian?"

"I…guess…it wouldn't hurt." She returned her closest friend's smile and actually laughed. "Who knows? Maybe I'll get a princess who likes to spend time with dragons or something."

After school, Sofia and Vivian located Flora so that they could register for the program Amber had mentioned. Surprisingly, there wasn't exactly a line to sign up. Perhaps the others had already done it, or maybe they just weren't interested.

"So, you two would like to be paired with a princess mentor, hmm?" Flora asked kindly as she unrolled a scroll before them, so they could see the details as she explained.

"Yes, Ms. Flora," Sofia answered. "Amber told us a little bit about the program, but we're curious if you could give us more information."

"Certainly." She waved her wand and tapped the scroll, producing something of a film effect as the pictures came to life before them. "Once every year, Royal Prep initiates this program to give you princesses an opportunity to partner up with another princess who's been through royal training. We were able to secure six princesses this year: Ariel, Belle, Mulan, Rapunzel, Tiana, and Jasmine."

"Wow," Vivian gasped with a sparkle in her eye. "They're all great. How did you convince them to be a part of the program, Ms. Flora?"

She chuckled at the question. "They wanted to do it, Vivian. They enjoy working with you girls. Even Ariel has a daughter of her own, so she knows rather well how to handle girls your age. The others…well, they're still learning." She rolled the scroll again as the picture show ceased. "They enjoyed their roles last year, so one can only assume this year will be even better."

"Do we choose the princess who works with us, or do you do that?" Sofia clasped her hands behind her back as she waited for a response.

Flora shook her head. "Neither. The princess will choose. We send your information and a picture, and they discuss their decisions with each other. Once everything has been organized, by the following week, then each of you will have your mentor handy. You'll spend a whole day together rather than attending classes, and she'll be your guide. It's a great program."

"Sounds like fun!" The younger Enchancian princess grinned. "Right, Vivian?"

"Um, right! I guess…"

The headmistresses nodded happily. "Great. Then I will make sure you two are added to the sign-up list. You're very lucky, actually. These were the last two spots. Be sure to thank Amber for making you aware."

Sofia giggled and took Vivian's hand, pulling her out of the classroom and into the hallway again. "Well, I know who's going to pick Amber."

The dark-haired girl laughed. "Probably Rapunzel, right? You said she's kind of bonded with her by now…"

"Yeah. But Amber still has so much she could learn from Rapunzel. She may even be able to teach her how to sew." She smiled at that thought, knowing that the older blonde princess was great at making her own clothing. If she could teach Amber, then that would save Sofia from having to do it.

"I don't know who's going to get me," Vivian sighed. "The other princesses may not even want to mentor me, if they know how shy I can be."

"Don't be silly, Vivian. You're much better now than you were before." Sofia smiled and waved her hands animatedly. "And you know how to do the disappearo magic spell perfectly now, so that's a plus. You made Mr. Cedric so proud."

She giggled. "I did? Aw… He's a really good teacher. I've never had someone actually invest that much time into making sure that I got something right. Usually they just move on, thinking that either I'll get it later or that I won't." She shrugged with a small sigh.

Sofia linked arms with her friend as they made it outside. "That's why you have me. If you don't get it, just ask me. And if I don't get it, we'll both pester Mr. Cedric until he helps us." She giggled, making her friend burst into laughter too.

Amber waved her fan to get their attention from the side of the school. She lit up as the girls walked over to her. "Well? Did you sign up?"

"Yes," her sister responded, releasing Vivian so she could adjust her backpack. "She said we should know our mentors by next week."

The blonde girl squealed again and snapped her fan shut. "I'm just so excited! Not only do we get a whole day off from school work, but we also get to spend it with one of the most important princesses. Could this get any better?" She whirled around and hurried off, hardly able to contain her joy.

Vivian smiled and shook her head. "We'll never see her this excited about something again, huh?" Hearing an affirmative from her friend, she shook her head. "You know, I can't help but wonder… If our program is called 'Princess2Princess,' is the guys' called 'Prince2Prince?'"

Sofia paused and blinked before laughing. "Good question… I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" She waved and hurried off after Amber as Vivian smiled softly and waved back.

"See you tomorrow," she said mostly to herself. "Hmm…a princess as a mentor." She held onto the straps of her backpack and looked up. "I wonder who'd be patient enough to mentor me…" Smiling thoughtfully and shrugging, she turned and headed toward her own flying coach.

To be continued…

A/N: Okay, this is the introduction. All the chapters after this will be longer, I promise. Next chapter deals with the first two princesses: Ariel and Jasmine. ;) I'll try to have that chapter out ASAP. Keep an eye out! And before you ask, no, I don't have plans to do a 'Prince2Prince' story. Lol. Sorry. :p Y'all have a good night! ~AquaTurquoise
