Hey y'all. So at my school everyone is excited for the Hunger Games. A lot of people are Team Peeta, but one of my friend's likes Gale/Katniss. Don't worry in the movie she likes Peeta because Gale is "too old". So for this one shot I remembered Rue's token and wondered where it came from. So I hope you will enjoy. Negativity is allowed.

Carnation's POV
I feel a pain shoot through my back and I hear screaming.
"Caleb, help me! Caleb!"
"Carn, where are you?"
I see my boyfriend running toward me. He stops to shoot an arrow at my knife thrower, a tribute from District 5. I want to go home and be among my family in the fields and to hear the mockingjays again. I feel the knife being pulled from my back. I start crying.
"Carn, I'm so sorry that I left you alone."
"Caleb, don't feel bad. It wasn't so your fault that I was stabbed."
"Yes it was. If I hadn't gone hunting, then you wouldn't have a knife thrown at you."
"Caleb, Caleb, shush calm down. Now listen, I love you and I will always watch over you. Take my token, please, to remember me."
My token was a wooden flower/star charm on woven Bermuda grass. My little sister and I made it together.
"I-I love you too, Carn."
"Now keep this going down the family. Adopt a little girl from the orphanage in District Eleven and name her Rue. Tell my family I love them, Caleb."
"I will, Carn, I will."
"I love you." I say as the earth turns to black.
I rise up toward a light and watch as Caleb wins the first ever Hunger Games and live in Victor's Village. Also, I watched as Rue grew older and marrying. The token is passed down as the Hunger Games goes on. Waiting and watching until the Hunger Games are over.
I am Carnation, a tribute from District Eleven. I have played in the Hunger Games and lost. Losing granted me with death. Death turned out to be happy.

I cry as I write this. I meant for it to be happy but it turned out sad :'(
