'Bucky?'...'Who the hell is Bucky?'
The conversation with the man kept flowing through his mind, repeating over and over again, flooding his brain with the man's words. 'Bucky?' The man knew him when he didn't even know himself. He's just a tool, a machine, something used for HYDRA's dirty work. But 'Bucky', that was someone else, no machine, no tool, just a man. A man who clearly meant something to the man on the bridge.
He did know the man, he's seen him before, he knows he has. Not on a past assignment but from somewhere, he just doesn't know where. So he tells Pierce 'I knew him', because he did, he's seen that man's face before. His blonde hair and blue eyes, deep down he searches for an answer, but he can never find one.
Then he's forced back on the chair and starts to scream when the shocks begin. The process hurts and it's so easy to give in, but he tries to hand on, tries to remember the man. But it's no use, he's just a broken man, and when he wakes up, all he remembers is darkness.
