Lapis moved her head up slightly at the sound of voices coming from outside the barn, a soft smile gracing her lips. Peridot and Amethyst were the only gems apart from Steven who she liked. Well, liked was a bit of an understatement but she hadn't quite got round to saying the 'L' word yet, despite Stevens constant nagging about it. He seemed to enjoy going on about the 'right time' or whatever that was.

Shaking her head with a sigh, Lapis unfurled her wings and swooped out of the door, alerting the others of her presence. She landed in-front of them, not getting a chance to speak before Peridot tackled her in a hug, followed by Amethyst until all three of them were a giggling pile of gems. This lasted for a few more moments before Lapis was able to pry both pairs of arms from around her waist and dust herself off. Still donning a smile, the blue gem helper the other two up and allowed them to recollect themselves.

"I think I've had enough roughhousing for today" grumbled Peridot lightly as she picked a twig out from her hair, shrieking when Amethyst flicked the mud from her black tank top onto her green button nose.

"Heh, not me." Amethysts eyes glinted with mischief, causing Peridot shiver and run behind Lapis for protection, in which the latter rolled her eyes and sent a light glare to the purple gem which was returned half heartedly.

The trio continued their journey to the barn, conversing about their days until they stopped before the barn doors which were closed. Lapis wrinkled her nose in confusion, she didn't remember closing them when she left. She glanced at Peridot who had a similar face on, their eyes met for a split second.

"Uhh, so are we gonna go in or what?" The comment was enough to snap the two gems out of their trance and look forward once more.

"I guess we are!" Exclaimed the green gem as she marched forward and yanked one of the big barn doors open, only to shriek as she felt a sudden rush of ice cold liquid dripping down her body. Peridot stood frozen, her hand still on the door handle as she turned slowly towards her girlfriends behind her.

They were laughing. They. Were. Laughing. Peri scowled, sending an icy glare to the two gems in front of her, did they do this?

"Hey!" she didn't mean to shout but it still got their attention "you think this is funny?" her arms were visibly shaking now, Peridot internally groaned-oh why did it have to be ice water?

"This is the funniest thing I've seen all day!" Amethyst snorted, wiping the tears that threatened to fall from her eyes. She turned to Lapis who was grinning slightly at the sight of the dripping gem. "Hey Lapis, I didn't take you as a pranker-ooh maybe you can join me and Steven one time. It would be a riot!"

This statement caused Lapis's grin to fade as she looked to the purple gem confused. "I didn't do this, I thought you had-"

"So neither of you did this to me!?" Amethyst and Lapis jumped, whipping their heads around to see an angry Peridot staring at them. Amethyst gulped.

"Uh, no?"

"No."

Peridots eyes closed for a few seconds as she rubbed her temples slowly. The ice water was giving her a headache, along with those two.

"So, if you two didn't do this... who did?" Not long after the question was asked, all three of them heard a ruckus from inside the barn, accompanied by a small "ow" from whoever made it. They rushed in to find Steven sat on the floor, a bucket laid next to him. He flashed them a guilty smile and rubbed the back his neck sheepishly.

"STEVEN?"

The green gem took a deep breath. "Just-just go home."

Steven gladly obliged as he rushed out the door and ran to the warp pad.

Peridot sat on the floor and shivered. Not for long though, as she felt two pairs of arms once again surround her, making her feel warm. She held onto them and sighed, happy to once again be enclosed into the warmth of her lovers.
