One Shot

Gabriella has always lived by the rule that every evil, terrible thing that ever occurs in the world is directly offset, counterbalanced if you will, by the complete utter joy of biting into an Eskimo Pie. It's the way we maintain balance in the universe. She got this from one of her favourite movies Post Grad.

She has lived by this rule since she saw the movie. So in her apartment there is a freezer drawer full of Eskimo's Pies.

So when the day comes and her boyfriend Ryden cheats on her and leaves her, she spends the day in sweats and a sweatshirt watching soppy romantic comedies and eating Eskimo Pies with a box of tissues of the sofa next to her.

Hours after the initial terrible thing there was a knock on her door.

This was a welcomed visitor her best friend Troy Bolton. Every evil, terrible thing that had ever occurred in Gabriella's life was not only counterbalanced by an Eskimo Pie but also by her best friend Bolton. He would come into a room and make you smile instantly. He would snap you out of a bad mood in seconds. He would bring tears of joy, tears of laughter to your eyes when you had tears of sadness.

Troy had been in love with Gabriella for ages but since she was happily with Ryden in didn't think he stood a shot until now he was going to wait for the moment and take the plunge.

So as they got to that initial moment in Post Grad with the Eskimo Pie and the quote Gabriella bite into an Eskimo Pie and Troy paused the movie, the moment had come.

"I know something better that will give you better joy then an Eskimo Pie," said Troy

"Hmm," murmured Gabriella

"It's free and it counterbalances every terrible thing in your life," said Troy

"What is it?" asked Gabriella

Gabriella got no reply other then Troy's lips landing on hers. After what seemed hours to Troy and in reality a few seconds Gabriella moved her lips with hers. And after release her sweet lips moments later Troy asked. "Does that counterbalance everything for you?" asks Troy

"Let me just check," murmured Gabriella bringing her lips back to Troy.

Now every evil, terrible thing that ever occurs in Gabriella's life is directly offset, counterbalanced if you will, by the complete utter joy of Troy Bolton lips. It's the way Gabriella maintains balance in her universe.
