Amy's Mistletoe

One day Sonic the Hedgehog threw a Christmas party and, since it was Christmas, he even invited the dark characters. This included Rouge the Bat, Eggman, and Shadow. He was sure Amy was setting up some mistletoe for him. In fact he had scouted the house and found it. He had the most perfect idea what to do with it instead. It involved his buddy Knuckles. He told the others (Besides Amy) his plan. They all agreed it was time and they laughed at his nefarious plans. He grinned. "Let's do this!" Even Tails agreed that Knuckles would probably thank him later. Hee hee.

Why did he come to this stupid party anyway? Knuckles asked himself. It was getting worse by the minute as he argued with Rouge.

"No Rouge," he said for the thousandth time. "I will not move in with you."

Rouge was also getting pissed. "Why not? It would be at least interesting, if not fun."

Knuckles blushed. Maybe, he admitted to himself. That wasn't what he said to Rouge though. "Rouge we are on opposite teams. You usually work with eggman."

"You know what they say Knuckles," she said mischievously, "opposites attract."

Knuckles groaned.

"Hey Knuckles, Rouge," Sonic called. "Eggman and I need your help over here."

"Race you," Rouge said.

They raced for the doorway and got stuck. They got unstuck and Rouge started another argument. "Ladies first!"

"You're not a lady!"

"Awwwwww," Cream said, "They're perfect together!"

"Shut up!" They both said.

"When's the wedding?" Eggman asked.

They looked at each other for a moment and turned crimson. "Never!"

"Merry Christmas you guys!" Tails said.

"Look up." Shadow said nonchalantly, reading a book.

They looked up and saw the mistletoe.

"You want me to kiss her?!?!?" Knuckles nearly yelled.

"You want me to kiss him?!?!?"

"That's tradition," Espio said.

They looked at each other and turned an even deeper shade of scarlet. "Out here?" Knuckles asked nervously. "No," Sonic said, "You can go to the living room."

They muttered a quick thanks and left. Everyone noticed Knuckles' hand on her back.

"Don't worry guys," Tails said. "I put a video camera in there."

Everyone cheered.

"Did you hear something?" Knuckles asked.

"I didn't hear anything." Rouge stated. "What are we going to do?" she asked and sat against the wall.

"We don't HAVE to kiss you know."

"I'm not good enough for you? Fine." she snapped. "I never really liked you anyway."

Now Knuckles was hurt. "I meant that we didn't have to if you don't want to."

He went over to her and pulled her up. "But since you want to..."

Everyone held their breath as they just looked at each other. Then they kissed, for WAY longer than was necessary. All the teens and adults watched, laughing and cheering, while Charmy, Tails, and Cream turned away, blushing. They weren't old enough to watch THAT. Everyone was quiet as Amy walked in on Knuckles and Rouge. Her jaw dropped and she fainted. Sonic rushed in and grabbed her. They stopped, looked at him, and he said, "Sorry." He ran out and they figured it out. "SSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCC!!!!!!!!!!"

Everyone laughed. They hung around the rest of the party until Knuckles finally said "Fine."

Rouge smiled and looked at him curiously, "What?"

"I'll move in with you."

She stopped dead. Then a slow smile spread on her face. "I won!"
