It's been forever since I wrote anything related to Glee, but recently I rewatched the whole series in a really messed up order, but I watched it all. I must say I was kind of disappointed in the ending. I loved getting that flashback to glee audition days, but things just didn't seem right with how they ended. It's actually believable that Jesse and Rachel could be together in the future, but I don't think they could last together. I think they both have a pretty big ego that wouldn't be satisfied. I also have always been a fan of Puckleberry. I know Mark Salling did things that shouldn't have been done, but Puck is a fictional character who I feel like should still be used.

I am also not a fan of Rachel's character development. Yes she was a diva and quite a bit of crazy in the first season, but it made her character. After Finchel she was ruined and made weak something that I hope I address within the story. Also, I've always been a supporter of a Pezberry friendship. Yes, Santana tortured her in high school, but I have learned some of your biggest enemies can become your best of friends.

Okay now about this story… It's set in 2022 as the class of 2012 is ready to have their 10 year reunion, but ever since that last glee performance everyone has kind of fallen out of touch with one another. As they set up a class/ glee reunion Santana and Brittany are relocating back to Lima to raise a family. Santana will be working to reboot the glee club as Brittany works with the cheerios since Sue is Vice President in this universe. This will be a mix of old glee club storylines with new glee club storylines like the last season of Glee but hopefully better. At the end there will be a bit more of an explanation with cast and all of that, but for now you should get to reading….

Chapter 1: The Pilot

Reunions and Auditions

Santana's POV

Saturday August 20, 2022

I'll say I never imagined it this way. We were all supposed to be friends forever or some shit, but somehow during the summer of 2020 we all lost each other. I know it was 2020 when Berry won that Tony with all of us Glee clubbers celebrating across the country, then we united to do one last song all together, but after that things seemed to go downhill.

Just after being transformed into an Arts Magnet school, Mckinley was being turned back into a regular public high school supposedly the alumni weren't very happy after it being turned around and threatened to take away funding. Then our whole friend group at once seemed to dismantle in the matter of weeks. It started with Kurt and Blaine with all that baby fever, after finally meeting their baby girl they hardly spoke to anyone. Mercedes was the next to begin ignoring the rest of the old glee club members. She made it big with Beyonce disappearing from all the group chats and mini reunions. Tina and Artie got married before anyone else could forget about the old friend group, but then he got offered to direct a movie in Australia. Quinn graduated from Yale found some preppy ivy league guy and last I heard was in New Hampshire. Sam had always loved Lima, but he was offered a coaching jobs at one of the best private schools for football down in Cincinnati after getting a license to teach gym. Mr. Schuester was even gone, leaving so Ms. Pillsbury could go get her doctorate in psych at The Ohio State University. Berry had actually been the first to leave, completely leaving everything and everyone behind after that final glee performance all together.

"Santana we're going to be late." Oh, did I love my beautiful wife, but her and pregnancy were not mixing well. I guess she's the reason I came back though. We were having the times of our lives in New York. I had graduated from NYU with a bachelors in none other than teaching spanish. I felt as though I should have a back up if my talent thing didn't work out and I felt as though already knowing Spanish would give me an edge up. I also found out that as much as I hate people I really like teaching.

"Chill, Britt, we have 2 hours till we need to be there and it's an hour away." Today we were headed to pick up Puck from the airport. Somehow he hadn't been kicked out of the Air force and he was getting in today after being stationed in Alaska for six years. The only times he had left base were to see Jake graduate and to come back for that song. Brittany and I were always the one to go and get him from the airport, and he'd always crash with us for at least a week.

"But we can't make baby daddy mad." Brittany pouted and it was pretty cute. She had taken to calling Puck baby daddy since he'd offered up his sperm for little baby Reena. Brittany convinced me that we had to since he was basically the guy version of me. I don't really like arguing with her, so I let it happen.

"He'll be fine. I think he's hoping Berry might pop up for this ten year reunion thing." I was doubtful we'd see the tiny brunette. I mean you win a Tony then disappear, Rachel Berry didn't do that kind of thing, but maybe nobody really knew what she was going through before the win, she was an incredibly great actress, duh. The ride to the airport wasn't bad and Puck had just landed as we arrived, so I totally bragged to Brittany about being right.

"Satan, Britt," Puck's smile stretched across his face. His head had been shaved and it took 5 years off his look that was starting to look like a middle age man pretending to be hip. "How are my favorite girls?"

"We're good, but I'm pretty sure you'd always like to see one girl more than us." It was obvious in high school how much he was into Berry. I realize no one else noticed but me and my girl, but the way he use to stare at her tiny ass as she marched down the halls, or the way he'd scowl when she sung to Finn, everyone should've known. He tried denying it, but I called him on his shit after he tried rekindling the inevitably horrible relationship with Quinn. I went Lima Heights on his ass when he tried to say Quinn was always the love of his life. What a fucking lie. I whooped some smarts into that boy and the relationship ended. I especially noticed the way that when we all sang together and Sue gave that speech, Puck couldn't stop frowning every time he saw Jesse's arm wrapped around Rachel. Maybe he knew something we didn't, maybe he actually knew why after that day she ran away.

"Shut it Lopez." Puck sighed as we headed back to the car. It was a silent trip back home, but no awkwardness. We didn't have a whole bunch to catch up on because we were in constant contact. "So, why are you guys back so early anyway?"

"Oh yeah that was the one thing we didn't tell you. We moved back, so we'd have family around when raising Reena, plus the city isn't the place I'd like to raise my daughter." I laughed at the shocked face he gave me but I shrugged. I always thought fame was my dream, but it was this right here, a family. "I actually got a job teaching at Mckinley for the school year, but it's completely different. The Cheerios don't even have a coach right now, it's just student ran and they like actually go to all of the football games. The glee club no longer exists, and the basketball team is the coolest group there."

"Wow, so you gonna pull a Berry and fix this shit?" I nodded smiling. Brittany was actually going to be taking on the challenge of the Cheerios into her hands and I'd be taking the challenge of the Glee Club. This all would start Monday, but first would be the reunion which would be happening the following day, hopefully I could get some of the alumni in on the plan to revamp our old school.

Sunday August 21, 2022

I didn't see this coming. She came in with a real smile on her face which had became a rare sight after she had taken broadway by storm, it was always her show smile then, but after two years of not seeing her I knew that was a real smile. She had gained a little weight, but not in a bad way. She looked more like the Rachel Berry from our Sophomore year than I had seen in the past decade. Her hair had no highlights in it hanging in loose curls to her chest with no bangs. Her dress however was far away from the young ingenue we knew in high school. It was a dark green slip dress that went to just below her knee but clung against her curves. Her makeup was light emphasizing her doe like brown eyes.

"Berry?" I said it soft, so she probably wouldn't have heard me if I hadn't been walking towards her ever since I noticed her from my place at the punch bowl. She didn't make a dramatic appearance, so no one else had noticed her slip into the room.

"Santana." She smiled even brighter and wrapped her arms tightly around me. I was so shocked, but I wrapped my arms around her and smiled. "I've missed you."

"Where were you?" I pulled away from her and held her hands in mine. It definitely looked like those movies scenes where the guy and girl finally talked to each other after some crazy big fight, and it's basically what it felt like.

"It's complicated but to put it simply which is very much not like me; I was finding my happiness." I noticed as I held her hands the gold band she once wore on her left hand was now gone. "I know you want to know everything, but I want to just enjoy tonight. If you're going to be around Lima for a few days I will have time to inform you of everything that-"

Berry wasn't someone who lost her words easily, but then I noticed just who was on stage. Puck had been the next up for the stage and he had this big smile on his face as he strummed his guitar.

"I think if there is one song that makes me think back to high school anytime I hear it, it would be this one." Puck wasn't one for words, so he got right to the song.

"Look at this photograph/ Every time I do it makes me laugh/ How did our eyes get so red?/ And what the hell is on Joey's head?" Rachel was so focused on his performance and I was laughing thinking of the picture of him, Mike, Jake, and Joe where they had all convinced Joe to get high with them and his dreads were all piled crazily on his head.

"This is where I grew up/ I think the present owner fixed it up/ I never knew we ever went without/ The second floor is hard for sneakin' out"

"Did his mom actually sell their house?" I raised an eyebrow at Rachel but nodded. I was kind of confused how she knew his mom was thinking for the past couple years of downsizing since Puck had moved out. Maybe she had stayed in contact with at least her dads and they had mentioned it?

"And this is where I went to school/ Most of the time I had better things to do/ Criminal record says I broke in twice/ I must of done it half a dozen times." Puck was totally right to pick this song as it suited his high school experience. Instead of singing the next couple of lines about going back to graduate he just strummed his guitar through it, since he had actually graduated. He really got into the song as he sang through the chorus then he just sort of stopped. I realized he had seen her. Everyone now had seen her. Instead of ducking her head and trying to hide she smiled and walked over to the table where all the old glee clubbers were sat. I was as shocked as Puck looked on stage.

"Sorry everybody I got really swept away for a moment let's try that again." Puck continued on with the song and came to join the group when he was done. Tina and Artie took the stage to do a duet.

"Noah." I wasn't sure what Puck's reaction to having her right in front of him was going to be, but he strode right over to her and wrapped his arms so tightly around her I thought she might run out of air. I don't think anyone was supposed to hear what she said next, but I had been standing right by her when Puck had came over so even though it was just a mumble I heard the next two words. "I'm sorry"

"It's okay, baby" I decided to give them some time to fix whatever the hell she could be apologizing to just him about. She left us all when she ran away and while I know those two are absolutely crazy about each other deep down inside there was something that must have happened between those two that no one knew.

The night was great. It was as if for the past decade we'd all been the best of friends and nothing had changed. I had told everyone about re establishing the glee club and it seemed as though everyone, except Sam who had a Football team to go coach, was actually on a break for a little bit and sticking around for a few weeks, even Berry. I asked her, Mercedes, and Mike if they could help with auditions as they all had the most real world experience with singing/dancing. Mike was actually on break for a tear in his ACL that happened a few months ago while dancing for the New York City Ballet.

The next day as I walked into the halls of Mckinley High School I did not expect the first thing I'd see to be a girl dripping in slushy as she walked into the bathroom. I looked down the hall and noticed a girl dressed in something resembling a cheerios uniform laughing with a guy who wore his letterman jacket proud. I guess some things never change...

….

Ophelia's POV

Monday August 22, 2022

I use to have friends. I was well liked in middle school, or at least I thought. Last year however when cheerleading became a club ran by upperclassmen I was turned away and the reason was one, Cleo Dixon. She was also a Freshman, but she could probably pass for a Junior the way she walked down the halls with her head cocked slightly towards the ceiling her two "clones" walking behind her in the same fashion. Cleo had spread a rumor about me to the girls on the squad that I liked girls and while I thought nobody could be so small minded to let that matter to them I wasn't even allowed to try out for the sport I'd loved since I was five. So, here I am hoping maybe this year could be different.

"Hey lady lover." Cleo giggled walking past me wearing her cheerleading shirt tucked into a black pleated skirt. It was their "uniform" as they had no funding to get actual uniforms. I wasn't even into girls like that. All respect for anyone who is in the LGBTQ community, but I did not identify like that and I felt as if she was disrespecting anyone who did.

"You're a fucking bitch." I mumbled thinking only I could hear it, but by the glare she gave me she did too.

"I think you need to be put in your place. Coop!" At the mention of the Basketball captain's nickname I closed my eyes and soon enough I was soaked in a freezing cold slushie. I shouldn't be surprised that this year was to be no different, I had just hoped for something. I went to the bathroom taking off my white button up blouse that had been ruined. Gladly I had packed a plain black t shirt for gym class. After cleaning off my face and wetting my hair that I had spent this morning straightening I put on my clean shirt and tucked it into my luckily untouched blue plaid skirt that I thought was kind of cute . My white converse had small stains of red now, but I shrugged and ran to not be late to class.

I spent my day in a slump. I had left my glasses at home when I had rushed out this morning, and now I had a headache. That's when I saw the new spanish teacher hanging up a sign up sheet for something. She was my first period teacher and had seemed pretty cool so I walked over to see what it was about after she left. Glee Club. I frowned not really sure how my voice would compare to anyone's and the fact that if I put my name on this sheet it would be even more social suicide.

"Are you going to do it?" I was pulled out of my thoughts by a british accent that belonged to a guy who stood about half a foot taller than me and had on worn out jeans rolled at the bottom with toms on and a plain t shirt. "Because if not excuse me because I will be."

I was surprised by his nonchalant attitude as he put his name on the list: Percy Knight. I bit my lip watching the guy leave. I decided why not and went to write my name down. As I did that I noticed a blonde who had a young vibe but was obviously not a high schooler hanging up a poster about Cheerleading Tryouts.

"Hi I'm Brittany. I'll be the new cheerleading coach. Are you interested?" I must have been staring at the poster for a little while. I blushed but shook my head not thinking I could deal with the attitudes.

"I use to be, but none of the girls like me and they make fun of me." I shrugged she told me to come out anyway, but I shrugged and went on to gym class. Of course of all the people to be in my gym class Gabriel Cooperman, better known as Coop, was there. Gabriel and I had an interesting past but ever since High School everything had went down hill. I went and put on a pair of red running shorts and white gym shoes before heading to the basketball court again.

"Today we'll be playing basketball and since this is a small gym class you'll all have to play the whole time 5-on-5. So, how about Coop and the new guy Percy pick teams." The basketball coach of course was the gym teacher and while I thought Percy didn't look like a jock when I met him, the basketball coach already knew him meaning he had to be a player because the coach doesn't bother to learn non-player names.

"I'll let you go first," Gabriel was letting Percy pick first which surprised everyone.

"Hmm, then I better be wise." Of course he picked a basketball player and so did Gabriel. Why'd I have to be in here with the Jocks? I'd be the last- "Shorty with the red shorts."

"Me?" I whispered too shocked to really speak. Percy nodded with this goofy grin on his face. Everyone was looking at him as if he had three heads, but I walked over and stood by him. After teams were picked we were told to strategize.

"I've never touched a basketball a day in my life and I don't plan to now." No surprise it was one of Cleo's minions, I think her name was Amber.

"Well guess it looks like we're down-"

"Dude I know you're new here and all but it comes down to this it'll be basketball players vs. basketball players no one else cares." James one of the other basketball said and he was probably right.

"Hey, that's not cool dude, plus if we utilize everyone and they don't we're more likely to win." We didn't even get to playing the game as the fire alarm began ringing. Of course the coach wasn't happy but when we got back he decided there just wasn't enough time to play a real game so he made everyone shoot free throws for the remaining 15 minutes before needing to change again.

"So just shoot till you miss then it'll be time for the next person to shoot, get to it!" The coach announced and so the cheerios went first just throwing the ball up and missing then it was my turn. I wasn't expecting much I had played a lot with my older brother growing up, but I was rusty. Then all of sudden I was on a streak.

"Damn, geek has some serious skill." I rolled my eyes at the comment James made, but on my 9th shot I missed and moved to one of the other spots around the foul line letting James go ahead. He missed his first shot and I wanted to laugh in his face as he had every time I had been slushied, but I knew that would have consequences. After gym I went about my day going to class and then went back to check again when auditions would be for Glee and realized it was tomorrow and I had no idea what to sing. Then I peaked at the Cheerleading tryout sign and saw it was Wednesday and just took a mental note in case I wanted to give it a try.

"Michelle!" I shouted on the phone as my only friend left gave me a call. I hadn't seen her at school today, but she was notorious for skipping, so I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't go in for the first day.

"Ophie, Why can't you just call be MJ like everyone else?" I could feel the eye roll through the phone making me laugh.

"Why do you insist on calling me Ophie? It's Ophelia." I heard my doorbell ring and ran down the hall and opened the door to a smirking Michelle. She had a grey hoodie that was five sizes to big for her athletic build and black leggings with black gym shoes. Her curly hair was pulled back in a ponytail and she just walked right into my house pulling a carton of milk out from my fridge and drinking straight from it. "Seriously, do I have to teach you manners?"

"Chill Rose, you don't even drink this you have your CarbMaster fake milk and your dad buys this just for me." She jumped up on the kitchen island humming as she enjoyed another few gulps of milk. "How was school?"

"You know. School. Where were you?" I sighed grabbing my own "fake" milk as she called in and joining her on the counter. "There's a Glee Club starting which will be ran by the new sassy, latina Spanish teacher and there will be a Cheerleading coach."

"Glee Club? Like singing?" I nodded and she shook her head. "Isn't that just like social suicide? I mean who am I to talk I'm a fucking basket case. Are we going to try out for this… Glee Club?"

She said the words like they were brand new to her and it made me laugh a little. I shrugged still not really sure about it. I let her know that the tryouts were tomorrow and if she wanted to tryout for cheerleading again with me those tryouts would be Wednesday.

"Do you really want to fucking socialize with Cloe and her minions again? If you do leave me out of this. I'll do the Glee thing with you though."

Tuesday August 23, 2022

Michelle ended up staying the night although it didn't make it any easier to pick songs to tryout with. She had gladly brought a pair of dark skinny jeans and red v neck with her to wear for the next day. She let her natural curls go free and just swiped on a little bit of mascara. She was such a natural beauty with her light mocha skin and athletic body.

"What are you staring at Ophie?" I shook my head going to find something in my closet. I was starting to regret a lot of my clothing choices but grabbed a light tan short sleeved button up and navy a-line skirt. I made sure to put on my brown circle glasses so I wouldn't get a headache and let my wet brown hair that went to my waist dry into its natural wave.

"Why do I have no style?" I sighed slipping on my brown oxfords and throwing some gym clothes in my bag.

"Galinsky, stop feeling sorry for yourself you're stacked, you got an ass and boobs, you're like bam bam bam with all your curves. You just don't know how to show them off." She laughed as she made an hourglass motion with her hands. I rolled my eyes and noticed we needed to get going and pulled her to get going.

"Why can you never just call me by my name?" I huffed she seemed to always come up with a new nickname.

"Rose and Galinsky are your real names they're just your middle and last name, but Ophelia just makes me feel like I'm talking to some 80 year old lady. The least your mom could've done was give you a sexier name." I hated talking about my mom and she knew that so everything got quiet on our walk to school. I was seven when she disappeared, it's just been me and dad ever since, although she wasn't very present before she left. My dad had no say in my first name and was only allowed to pick out my middle name, I don't know the reason, but from what I've found out my mom wasn't Jewish and didn't want me to be, but my dad was quick to change my last name to his own when she left. "Plus, your dad chose Rose and your dad is cool."

"You just have a crush on him." I rolled my eyes as we entered school. My dad wasn't bad looking I honestly didn't understand how he didn't have a girlfriend. He was a doctor, dark hair, tan skin, scruff, and went to the gym at least 4 days a week.

"Why wouldn't I? He's fine as hell." She laughed as I shuddered getting into our lockers that were placed right by each other.

"Oh, MJ, why do you give this freak your time?" I knew it was Cleo even if my back was currently turned to her. She had tried to get Michelle to turn on me in our Freshman year, but Michelle was too good of a friend for that. "Ooooh or are you a lady-"

I turned around and saw Cleo walking away quickly and Michelle smirking leaning against the opposite row of lockers. "I know more secrets about people in this school than anyone else and it comes in handy."

I nodded and we headed to first period together. OVerall there was nothing exciting to happen. I suffered through gym without my best friend, but we played volleyball and it ended up with the guys doing everything. Gabriel hadn't even slushied me today which was a bonus. As I put my things away to go tryout for glee club I felt someone looking at me from behind and turned and saw the new kid: Percy.

"Sorry I didn't mean to creep you out I just was going to see if you wanted to walk to auditions together." He had this cute little smile and scratched nervously at the back of his neck.

"Sure- wait I need to find-"

"G, you have to relax. I'm right here- who's this?" Michelle was pretty straight forward with people so her response to just stare. Percy just smiled and stuck his hand out for a handshake.

"Percy Knight."

"MJ, I don't go by anything else-"

Michelle-"

"Ophie." I gave her a small glare and she just rolled her eyes. "You see Ophie," She stressed the nickname, "doesn't like that I call her a nickname instead of her real name but she doesn't call me by my nickname when I don't want to be called by my real name."

"Hey ladies, we should get going," Percy laughed as we both just rolled our eyes and walked to the auditorium. I wasn't sure how many people would show up when auditions were just posted yesterday, but I noticed a guy and girl with dark haired facing the stage as the first girl took the stage.

"Hi what's your name?" I heard the voice of the Spanish teacher asked and tried to peek from behind the curtains to see how many people were watching. There was a tiny brunette girl to her right, an asian guy to her left and I recognized the female sitting next to him as Mercedes Jones, I liked most of her music and Michelle was a pretty big fan.

"Peyton," The girl with icy blonde hair smiled and the judges gave her the go ahead. She sang Chandelier by Sia and did a lot better than many people I'd heard try to cover the song. Next the girl with Dark hair flowing down her back went to the stage. She introduced herself as Melody and sang a slowed down version of Love Yourself by Justin Bieber that was ten times better than the original.

"Goodluck bro," She said to the dark haired guy as he took the stage.

"I'm Eli and I'm here to send your ears to a whole nother world." He ended up playing Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana and could this kid perform. That was going to be hard to follow, but Michelle gladly took the stage next.

"MJ is the only name I go by no matter what my best friend wants to say. The last guy was good, but I'm great." Leave it to Michelle to upstage someone as good as the last guy, but she did. She sung 24K Magic by Bruno Mars and danced the whole time. She smirked walking backstage and Percy sighed knowing it'd be hard to follow that. He did a good job as he sang a broadway song I didn't quite recognize, but the tiny brunette judge seemed super happy about it.

"Hi, I'm the last one back there, just so you know, and I'm Ophelia. I wasn't sure what to sing, but I think this song has kind of always been my go to shower song and I know I'm just rambling, but I do this when I'm nervous, but here it goes." I closed my eyes and took a deep breathe and began to quietly sing Because of You by Kelly Clarkson. It's a song that has gotten me through a lot and I just started to go for it as I hit the chorus. I could feel the single tear roll down my face as I said thank you and walked off the stage.

"Can everyone backstage please come to the stage?" We all went back out and I wiped away the tear that wouldn't go away. "We thought you all were really god. There's only 6 of you so far, so Thursday will be out first practice and we'll brainstorm on how to get people interested!"

Michelle hugged me as we exited the stage once more and started to head towards my house. Maybe this year would be better, but just as that thought was passing through my head I noticed a beat up gold 2010 Toyota Corolla that I hadn't seen in almost a decade sitting outside of my house.

Okay so that's it for now. I know there will be a lot of storylines to follow, but I'm going to try and make each chapter like an episode of glee. I included dates throughout the chapter just to make things easier to follow. A lot of the POVs will be Santana/Puck/Rachel for old glee club and Ophelia/MJ (Michelle) for new glee club. As characters get introduced though you might see small points of views from them to keep storylines going.

If characters seem to close like other characters they shouldn't. While Rachel/Ophelia might dress similar their high school personas are very different. Now here is the cast list I have so far and I hope for some reviews with ideas for celebrities to play some characters I haven't introduced yet!

Ophelia Rose Galinsky - Still looking for the right celebrity!

Michelle (MJ) - Zendaya (5'10")

Cleo Dixon- Still looking for the right celebrity!
