A/N: This is just something that randomly popped into my head while I was listening to "Miserable at Best" by Mayday Parade. I suggest you look it up. It's good. (By the way, this is my second story! I'm so excited!) :)

Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson and The Olympians or Miserable at Best

Connor POV

I was walking into my cabin after a long day of training when I spotted Travis on his bed staring up at the bunk above him while listening to his iPod and wearing a blank expression. "What ya listening to?" I was curious considering we usually don't have time for music, we have pranks to plan.

"..."

"TRAVIS!" He jumped and took out an ear bud looking around frantically.

"What? Who called my name?"

"It's me, Travis, just wanted to know what you were listening to."

"Oh," he said seeming disappointed, "it's Miserable At Best by Mayday Parade."

I sighed. "What did she do?"

"She dumped me for some other guy," he started while tears started to form in his eyes. "Said that I wasn't right for her, apparently I don't pay enough attention to her or something? I don't know, I kind of couldn't hear anything after she told me that we were over; I was freaking out too much. Sorta shut down for a few minutes." He was practically sobbing at this point.

"Travis," I asked, "do you love her?"

"Y-yes. She's everything I could ever dream of. She's beautiful and kind and caring and sweet and smart and-"

"Ok, I get it."

"Sorry."

"Anyway, if you really love her then go get her back, man!"

"But she doesn't want to be with me! She broke up with me, Conner! Why should I go against her wishes?"

"Because you love her, because every relationship hits some rough spots at some point or another, because if you don't go to her now, you'll probably never convince your self that it's the right thing ever again. Though I assure you, it's the right thing to do."

"Okay, I'm going to go talk to her." He stated determinedly as he started to walk out the door while I headed to my bed to get a much-needed nap before dinner. But then, Travis turned around and asked frantically "What the heck do I say to her?"

"Tell her that you love her and that you promise to be a better boyfriend. You might also want to do some serious begging. Like on the ground, puppy dog face begging." Oh, how I wish I could see that.

"Love her, better boyfriend, begging, got it," he mumbled under his breath while he walked out the door. And with that crisis averted, I took a nap.

A/N: So... what do you think? Do you like the song? Do you want to see Travis and Katie's conversation? Or, if you want to, I would be happy to read any versions of the conversation you make up, if you want to. Anyway... please please please review! :)
