Author's Note – This idea came to me this summer when I was working in the museum and I had to do two mailings of 650 each. All I could think was that I was VERY glad I had self-adhesive envelopes and that got me thinking about Sam. This idea has been mulling in my brain since August and decided it wanted to be a drabble so I wrote it when I was stuck in a traffic jam the other day – not a good idea but when the muse calls who am I to refuse! This hasn't been beta-ed, I didn't really see the point – it's only 100 words! Hope ya like…

Thank God for Self-Adhesive Envelopes

Sitting at her dining room table Sam contemplated the invites and envelopes in front of her. Recent months had seen her spend hours stuffing envelopes – wedding invites for Pete and herself, announcements of her father's memorial service and funeral, cancellations for her wedding and thank you cards for condolences on her father's passing. So much had changed that sometimes Sam couldn't believe it. Here she was, sitting at the table again; stuffing envelopes to invite people to something Sam had wanted for so long – her engagement party to Jack O'Neill. All Sam could think was thank God for self-adhesive envelopes.

Please review, I can beg…
