It was no surprise when Max won the Wizard competition. Justin begrudgingly congratulated him. Alex just sat them with tears streaming down her eyes.
"Alex," Max asked, "Are you okay?"
"No Max," Alex replied, "I'm not okay. I don't think I'll EVER be okay again"
"Alex," Justin told her, "It won't be so bad not being the family wizard"
"I DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT," Alex said, "I can't be with Mason"
"Alex," Max whined, "That's not fair. I won fair and square and now I have to give it to you"
Alex looked up.
"What did you say," she asked.
"You're my sister," Max said softly, "I love you. I'm not about to turn let you lose your true love because you don't have your powers. It's not gonna happen"
"But we fought before. I was mean to you when we were younger"
"Yeah so," Max said, "You were also the big sister I knew I could depend on especially after Cadence died.
"You were the big sister who would get mad at me when I was being stupid and to tell you the truth I found that a relief. I found it a relief because I knew you loved me and I knew you knew I was better then I was being. You were also the one that taught me to fly the flying carpet-"
"Yeah because you blackmailed me into it," Alex said laughing a little.
"You still taught me how," Max said.
"Okay I did," Alex admitted.
Max got up.
"Excuse me everyone," he said, "I have an announcement to make. I won the wizard family competition but I'm giving my powers to my sister, Alex. Love is stronger then powers so... I... anyway thank you"
Max may have won but Alex was the big winner that day. She had her powers.
She had Mason. Most importantly she had a little brother who loved her enough to give up his powers.
Just own the idea
