(silence)
SPOCK…PLEASE…COME BACK TO US. WE NEED YOU. WE LOVE YOU. WE MISS YOU.
(confusion)
PLEASE, SPOCK…I'M HERE, WE'RE ALL HERE, ON THE ENTERPRISE…
*like a shout of pure joy* [HOME! ENTERPRISE! NYOTA, SULU, CHEKOV, MCCOY, SCOTTY! JIM!]
YES, SPOCK. YES, THAT'S IT. COME BACK. COME BACK TO US. COME BACK TO HOME. COME BACK TO ME.
Spock opens his eyes.
The crew of the Enterprise stands around him, looking pale and shaken, yet pleased that he's returned. Jim is standing closest to him, and Spock cannot help but act on his human emotions…a tiny hint of a smile flitters across his face, but he hastily crushes it, the feelings of abandonment and everything else still there.
"How do you feel, Spock?" Dr. McCoy asks softly, and Spock takes a moment, working up the courage to answer. To answer a question regarding emotions is always a thing of courage, he thinks, for while he is half human, he is half Vulcan and Vulcans fear emotions.
"I feel…" He hesitates, becomes lost and uncertain. But then he remembers. A calming breath. Then he speaks. "I feel as though I'm here."
End.
