My Desired Princess
Ruler of the kingdom of Hyrule,
She keeps away those that are cruel,
And when she cannot do this act,
She calls on Link to make contact.
Beautiful as a blond or brunette,
Looking her best she does not regret,
Jewelry and a royal gown
Are what she is seen wearing in town.
Benevolent and kind to all,
The Triforce of Wisdom is her call
To wisdom and intelligence,
To outwit Ganondorf's deadly vengeance.
Strong and firm in all her actions,
She holds her own against bad factions,
Taking care of herself in a fight,
Fighting for what is always right.
Training Link with song and lyre,
As Sheik the Sheikah by the fire,
Playing a pirate at the sea,
Zelda could even help one like me.
Skilled with weapons melee and ranged,
With courage fast in battle engaged,
Princess Zelda was pure and swift,
And these were her own inbred gifts.
Saved many times by Link the hero,
She grew to love him without sorrow,
Which he returned with affection too,
That made a bond that was almost a woo.
Zelda deserves her own private story,
Even if she has little glory,
For why should Link always get
The spotlight where the heroes met?
A desert island is a nice place,
Where Zelda could stay just in case,
I lost my home and was stranded there,
With one Nintendo princess to care.
