"EYO WHAT THE-" were the last distinguishable words Rachel could emit before her back met the damp grass with a flat thump. Her first instinct was to scold Sarah for yet another unwelcome tackle but it soon turned out that she, for once, wasn't to blame for this. This became clear when Rachel met with a pair of brown eyes that didn't quite belong to Sarah. And this was to say the least- surely Sarah had long eyelashes but not this much hair.
As Rachel desperately tried to get up from under the creature, doing her very best to avoid the clumps of dirt in its matted fur, Sarah couldn't help but laugh at this somewhat unfair romp. It wasn't until the pleads for help became shouts of utter frustration that she decided to help her struggling wife (Wife. She still needed to get used to that term).
"Sarah! Help me, please, come on!" Sarah finally stopped laughing and wedged her leg between Rachel and her attacker. "Alright," she said as she pushed the beast away "that's enough. Oi, get off!" After some pushing and pulling the dog jumped off her and made a run for it. "Thanks," Rachel sighed as she got pulled to her feet "thought you'd never help." "Oh come on Rach, it's just a dog, he was playing, see? Look at him." "Playing? He attacked me. No one lays hands on me!" She straightened her clothes as Sarah brushed some dirt off her back. "Don't exaggerate, you're unharmed and still in once piece, yeah?" "Unharmed?! In one piece?! Sarah look at me! I am- Oh god no that monster took a shoe. How dare it! Sarah?!" But Sarah had already made a run for it, determined to retrieve the shoe and, in the back of her mind, the dog.
Luckily, he never got far. As a matter of fact, it looked like he had been waiting for her, like he challenged her. Challenge accepted.
It's pretty short but I do plan to continue this, with possible back story on the whole wife thing.
Feedback is certainly welcome!
