New Trippy Series Of Dragon Adventures
Heather felt her temper boil, had it been a pot of yack stew over a fire it would be bubbling over! She'd caught them almost in the act! How could Astrid possibly think she could get away with denying it?!
"We're… just friends…." Astrid struggled to say with conviction, but her dreamy, love-sick smile and the sparkle in her eyes give her away, and oddly made Heather sick to her stomach!
"Hey, Fishleg's where's the Book Of Dragons?"
Heather asked a surprised Fishlegs who looked at her perplexed for a moment before turning around to pick up the large thick book, and handed it to her.
Heather took the book with a brief smile of thanks, gripped it firmly in both hands, then turned and smacked it hard across Astrid's face!
"Ha!" Heather cried triumphantly.
Astrid stumbled over and hit the deck of the Club House with equal force of which Heather had hit her with.
"Ha! Be blindsided by that, Astrid!"
Heather laughed sarcastically drawing out Astrid's name as if the emphasise could convey the true depth of her leering, spiteful intent.
Had she been able, Astrid definitely would have heard her friend's distain, but Astrid broke no response, of course, for she was most definitely unconscious.
