Forces of Nature
Thunder shook the town as another flash of lightning illuminated the night sky. People struggled to get home because of the pounding rain against their bodies. Cars splashed anything in their way because of the street flooding. Long story short, this is one heck of a storm, nearly impossible to escape. Unfortunately, some people learn the hard way. Some of those people happened to be Bubbles, the lone puff. Although she was caught in the storm, she didn't care, for she was hurting.
She recently broke up with her boyfriend, Bruce. Bruce. That had an awful ring to it now. He simply stated he wanted a "normal girlfriend". Someone that wasn't stronger or more powerful than him. Then why did he go out with her in the first place? That question, to her, will never be answered. She let out another loud sob, but it was easily droned out because of another loud crash of thunder. Well, at least that's what she thought, until lightning lit up the sky once more, revealing a figure. But it was not just a figure, it was the one an only blue Rowdyruff boy, Boomer.
"What's wrong, Blue?" he faintly whispered and remarkably, she heard even though another crash of thunder shook the town once more. She turned away from him, not ready to face anyone yet. More warm tears streamed down her cheeks and she reluctantly wiped them away.
" C'mon, Blue, you can tell me" he said while taking a step closer and gently placed a hand on her shoulder. She flinched at his touch.
" N-nothing, it's none of your concern," she whimpered and took a step away from him. "Why are you out here?" he asked, a little more concerned. "Like I said, it's none of your concern," she stated flatly. "I didn't mean to make you angry, Bubbles, it's just that I..." he trailed off, awestruck by her beauty as another flash of lightning lit up the sky, making her facial features more angelic. She stared up at him, also mesmerized by his angelic features. He took a step closer, and this time she didn't move away, instead she took a step closer. Soon, their faces were mere centimeters away from each other.
Boomer whispered, "Bubbles, I-" She silenced him by placing a finger on his tender lips. "Say no more." Then she leaned in and molded her sweet lips with his, making all their worries go away and forgetting how soaked they were because of the pounding rain. Lightning lit up the sky, followed by a loud crash of thunder, signifying a new found love with the magic of the forces of nature.
