Inspector Carmelita Fox was pissed.
That damned ringtail raccoon had gotten away- again.
She couldn't believe it, he had finally been within her grasp. He was so close she could taste it. She blushed, he was literally that close.
She shook her head as she patted down her pockets for the key to the handcuffs, great; he took that too. Stop thinking about the kiss, she thought, he's a criminal, you're a cop. Get over it. You need to arrest him, and you WILL get him.
Still, she thought ruefully, that was some kiss. She stopped a moment as she waited for backup to arrive. She had to question herself now. Was I that obsessed with catching him and his friends because I somehow have feelings for him? No, it-it couldn't be. Could it?
