Hey-oh, everybody! It's ya boi, Kell Hound! You may be a little curious as to how this story will play out, so I'll do my best.

This story takes place in an American town, in a Japanese district, in 2054.

The story follows Dana Stewart, a self-educated student of Akademi High. He lives with his four siblings, and is a good friend of Sayori.

Monika is not self-aware like in the game. However, one trait will remain. And I'm not talking about her vegetarianism. ;)

Sayori is still depressed, but she won't die. Hopefully. Also, I'm not too good at painting her as bubbly and childish, like in DDLC. However, I did my best to replicate it.

Yuri is pretty much the same: A timid, intelligent girl hiding a crazy, obsessive... someone.

Natsuki isn't abused by her father. She's simply neglected (at first).

MC, or Taro in this story, is Ayana's Senpai. He's quiet, self reserved, and doesn't talk much, unless he's in a comfortable circumstance.

Ayano is, of course, the definition of yandere. She's her typical sociopathic self, which drives Dana to try and help her, as he's a very good person and highly empathic.

I should forewarn you; this fanfic focuses more on DDLC than Yandere Simulator. I'm not overly familiar with Yandere Simulator, so I'm sorry if I disappoint you.

OK, that's it! I've talked enough! Hope you enjoy, and don't be afraid to tell me how it is! And so, without further ado, let's begin!

Chapter 1: The Prologue

I woke up to the sound of knuckles rapping harshly on the door. Startled from my oddly erroneous dream, I stood up immediately, cursing without reserve.

"Goddamnit! Who the hell is banging on my door at this mother-plucking hour?!" I shouted at no one in particular.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" I heard a familiarly high-pitched voice ring out from behind the door. "I thought you would be up!"

I immediately calmed down, even if my mood was still quite sleepy. "Sorry, Sayori. I just slept a little late today. You can come in."

Thankfully, I wore my boxers and a T-shirt to bed, so I wasn't overly embarrassed when she walked in. Not that I would be embarrassed, as I had just woken up.

Sayori walked in, wearing the same uniform she wore to school every day. Gray blazer, orange vest, white dress shirt, red tie, and navy blue skirt. Even though I was tired, I still felt underdressed.

"Ehehehe, sorry again for waking you up," she said as she tapped her index fingers together. I was dumbfounded how she managed to make that a habit, but bless her energetic soul, she did.

"It's fine. Scarlet and I were awake for a little longer than normal last night, with the stupid rodents in my sister's orchard and all that."

Sayori chuckled as she stroked my maned wolf's neck. Scarlet absolutely loved Sayori, and I'm sure she more than returned the favor.

Scarlet was born in a zoo where my older sister, Anna, volunteered as a caretaker. Scarlet's mother died after giving birth to her, and since she didn't have a mother, Scarlet was adopted by Anna.

The moment she arrived at my house, she immediately walked over to me and cuddled with me, like I was her litter mate. Anna smiled and said that Scarlet was my responsibility, and to take good care of her. And I've been doing that ever since.

Scarlet, in response to Sayori's hand scratching her neck, wrapped her foreleg around Sayori's arm, as if saying 'you better not stop.'

"You're spoiled, dog," I said to her. "You know that, right?"

She only looked at me in response. She didn't understand my words, but she could see the affection behind them.

"I better get going. I promised my club that I would bring a new member today," Sayori said, releasing Scarlet's neck.

"Who is it? Taro?"

She smiled as she tapped her fingers together. "How'd you guess?"

"Lucky shot," I lied. Even though me and Sayori were good friends, she and Taro were on the level of siblings. It makes sense that she would try and get him to join the club.

"He's gonna be pissed," I said.

"Well, that's his problem," she replied. "Besides, Natsuki made cupcakes."

Oh, boy, I thought. Taro's weakness. "What club are you in, again?"

"Literature!"

"Ah. The Lit Club." I smirked as she shot me a disapproving look. "Sorry. Just had to."

"Uh-huh." She quickly switched back to her bubbly self. "Why don't you come over? I'm sure that self-educated students are permitted to join clubs!"

"Hmmmm..." I thought deeply about this. I've been self-educated since I was twelve, and though I almost never went to the school, I was still considered a student.

"I'll think about it," I finally said.

"YAY!" She exclaimed, throwing herself onto me. "We're getting two members today!"

"Calm down, Sayori! I said that I'll think about it!"

"Oh, all right." Sayori pulled back. "But I'm going to text you after class is over."

"OK." Sayori walked to the door. "Give Taro my love."

"I will! Sayonara, Dana!"

"Sayonara." With that, Sayori was out the door.

I sighed as I sank back onto the mattress on the floor. Sayori must have the ability to suck out a person's energy, cuz I'm even more tired than before.

"Ah, Scarlet," I exhaled, wrapping my arm around the maned wolf by my side. "What did I do to deserve a friend like that?"

With a lick to my cheek, Scarlet jumped off the mattress and trotted out of the room. I stood up to put on some cotton pants for the day ahead.

5 Hours Later, Lunch Break, Akademi High

Sayori's POV

I walked through the cluttered cafeteria, holding a tray of something akin to food. I was looking for two friends in particular.

"Sayori!" a high-pitched voice, higher than mine, called out. "Over here, baka!"

I smiled as I walked over to where Natsuki and Yuri were sitting. Yuri was preoccupied with her phone, and Natsuki was just pulling out her own before she called me.

I took a sneak at what Yuri was watching.

"Geometry Dash, Yuri?" I asked. "I never took you for a gamer."

Yuri nearly jumped out of her seat when she heard my voice. When she saw it was me, she started to calm down.

"W-Well, I'm not too much of a gamer," she stammered, "b-but I do enjoy watching these t-types of videos."

I took a closer look at the video she was watching. It looked quite familiar.

"Is that TheGreatDane's completist playthrough of Base After Base?"

Before Yuri could reply, Natsuki's head shot up like a rocket.

"You watch TheGreatDane?!" she asked excitedly. "He's awesome!"

"Y-Yes, I do watch him." Yuri took a bite of what seemed to be rice pudding. "I enjoy watching his completist playthroughs. He's incredibly good at those videos."

"Amen!" Natsuki replied. "Although, I personally prefer his letsplays. He's hilarious in those videos."

"Indeed, he is," I added, receiving an odd stare from Natsuki.

"You watch him too?"

"Well, of course," I continued, forking some of my flavorless fish. "He is my friend."

The look on Natsuki's face was absolutely priceless! Her eyes were wide as saucers, her mouth wide open, and her tongue was on the verge of falling off.

"Y-You know TheGreatDane?" Yuri asked.

"Oh, that's right. I never told you." I leaned in, as if I was revealing an enormous secret. "My friend Dana is TheGreatDane."

"You mean your ginger friend?!" Natsuki asked, in shock and disbelief.

"Yes, that's him."

"D-Do you know if h-he could come visit the club or s-something?" Yuri nervously asked. "N-Not that he has to!"

I giggled a little at her timididity. "I talked to him this morning! He might come over to check it out today!"

"Awesome!" Natsuki yelled at a worrying volume. She immediately turned to her phone and checked out TheGreatDane's newest uploads. She appeared to be a little shocked at his newest video.

"He did a collab?"

I looked closer at the video's thumbnail.

"Oh, yeah! He did a collab with me yesterday!"

Apparently, today was Natsuki's day for shocked expressions. She repeated her bug-eyed expression.

"Nat? You OK?" I asked.

"Pretty fantastic!" She suddenly became livid with excitement.

I laughed at her now bubbly mood, and she joined in. Yuri didn't join us in laughter, but she did smile.

After our laughing fit, me and Natsuki both watched the collab video I did with Dana.

It was basically an update on a game he was making in his spare time. He titled it Godzilla: The Great, and it had some pretty cool stuff.

The video showed me and Dana playing an experimental pvp battle. I played as Mothra, who looked more like a wasp with moth wings. Dana was Godzilla, who looked like he always did, aside from a face more akin to a monitor lizard.

We did a typical battle, with a few glitches, as the game was still a work-in-progress. He wasn't as good as I thought he would be, as he's the creator of this game.

He put in an interesting gameplay mechanic: each monster had three levels of power, or tiers. Tier 1 was basic attacks, like tail lashes, wing slashes, etc. Tier 2 was ranged attacks, like Godzilla's Atomic Breath and Mothra's lightning attacks. Tier 3 was the most powerful, as, in this tier, Godzilla could use his Red Spiral Ray, and Mothra had an attack called 'Divine Light,' which was incredibly powerful.

Tier 1 attacks gave your monster energy for the damage your monster causes. Tier 2 takes one bar of power from the energy scale. Tier 3 removed all energy.

Basically, it started by showing the monsters having a shout-off, with Godzilla having his traditional roar, while Mothra had a loud, screeching roar that sounded like an angry hawk.

We started out with basic stuff, attacking each other with Tier 1 attacks unless we had the power for Tier 2 attacks. Dana kept yelling obscenities when he got hit hard, and he overexaggerated when he hit me hard.

Eventually, though, I filled up my energy scale all the way. I attacked him with Divine Light and Godzilla went down like a rock.

"What the hell?!" Dana shouted in surprise. "You're telling me that my best friend, who's never played this damn game, DEFEATED ME IN HER FIRST MOTHERFUCKING BATTLE?!"

"Watch your language, Dane," I replied. "And yes, I beat you in my first battle."

He was silent for a few moments, before he threw a bowling ball through an open window, destroying a tree in the process.

"Ah, I shouldn't be getting so angry," he said. "Good job, Sayonara. You did well."

"Thank you, Dane. You did good, too."

"I doubt it. But that's all the time we have for today! The game is still in its infancy, and it's not ready for the alpha release just yet. But it will be, so be ready!"

"He works slowly, so be patient."

"Thank you, Sayonara, as if they didn't already know that. ANYway, we gotta go, so so long for now, and I will be back in the future! Seeya!"

With that, the video ended. Natsuki was having a laughing fit from Dana's antics, and I couldn't blame her. Dana had the gift of making everyone laugh, no matter their sense of humor.

"H-How is his new video?" Yuri asked.

"Hilarious," I answered for Natsuki, as she was trying her best to contain her laughter. "It's an update on his new game, and I'm in it!"

"R-Really?! Good for you, Sayori!"

"Ehehehe, thanks, Yuri!"

We continued eating our lunch, as we spent the first half of lunch break watching TheGreatDane getting his ass kicked by me.

I couldn't wait for Dana and Taro to check out the Literature Club! They're gonna love it!

Ayano's POV

I snuck glances at Taro as we ate our lunch. He liked to eat by himself, and I wanted to make sure he was safe, as well as identify any rivals I may have.

Truth be told, I can't feel anything. I've never felt a single emotion my entire life.

Until I met Senpai.

I can't explain it. He made me finally feel something. It was like he was the catalyst for my happiness.

Actually, catalyst is the wrong word. Drug is more like it. I needed him, and without him, my life is blank.

I can't return to the blank.

He walked to school today with that annoying girl he was friends with. What was her name, again? Sayori, that's it.

She asked him if he decided to join a club. He said that he was fine on his own. She chewed him out, saying that she doesn't want him to become a NEET when he graduates, whatever the hell a NEET is. He gave in, saying he would look around. She hugged him, contaminating him with her stench.

She doesn't deserve to even think about my Senpai, my mind told me. She doesn't deserve to live. Right now, she is our biggest obstacle. She must be eliminated.

I thought about how to go along with killing her. Poisoning would be relatively easy, as she's an indiscriminate eater. But she doesn't bring her own lunch to school. Maybe we can simply have her expelled? No, she's too popular. Drop a bucket with dumbbells on her ugly head? She doesn't linger outside doorways.

Finally, I decided that I must kill her the old-fashioned way; simple stabbing. Sweet and simple.

With my plan in mind, I set out to put it into action.

RRRRIIIINNNNGGGG!*

Goddamn bell! No matter. Saturday is a ways away. We'll have plenty of time to get to her.

One thing I know for sure: Senpai is mine. No one, male, female, or otherwise, will have him. I will see to it myself. Why? Because I'm a yandere.
