"Run run run run run." Two hooded figures moved through the busy market of Agrabah. While the people would normally move to every direction and chatter indistinctly, each doing their own thing, today, the people put themselves to the sides of the streets, all gasping at the sight of the hooded duo, followed by a large amount of soldiers, no one brave enough to get in the way of any of them. One of the hooded figures had a brown bag, the reason they were chased.

Before they knew it, another pack of soldiers got in front of them, making them stop on their tracks. "You are dead meat. Now stay still..." They ordered but the taller one of the duo made a step with his hands, so the smaller one could put his foot on it, and get pushed to the roof of a low building. "Stop them." He shouted, running to the one who was still nearby. The latter jumped above him, putting his free hand (the other hand still had the bag with the objects they stole) above him and impulsing himself further.

"Gotta keep

One jump ahead of the breadline..."

He started singing, brimming with confidence and certainty. He threw the bag further and high. Meanwhile, continuously using the head of the soldiers as platforms, he impulsed himself.

"...One swing ahead of the sword..." The soldiers kept waving their blades, trying to connect, but the crowded way they were positioned hidranced their movements, permitting him get away.

"I steal only what I can't afford" At the end of the crowd, there was a soldier preparing to grab the bag but he took it first, landed and jumped from him, landing on a extended cloth sheet, meant to protect a store from the sun.

"That's Everything!" He put himself upside down, still holding to the cloth. A kid and an adult got surprised by him. Nevertheless, he extended his fist, to what the kid answered by pumping his fist to him. The adult, scared even further, grabbed the kid and took him away. With that, he let himself go, landed on his feet and continued with his escape.

"One jump ahead of the soldiers" The other started singing too, his tone was more worried and squeaky, with reason, since he was getting shot by several arrows from everywhere.

"That's all, and that's no joke." His voice cracked a bit, as an arrow arrived just a little ahead. Had he not stopped when he did, he would be a goner.

"These guys don't appreciate we are broke." He sang, extending his arm to the lower area, grabbing his partner in crime by the hand and lifted him to his level.

"Bastards! Killer! Traitors! Take that!" They shouted to them, continuing to throw anything they had on their reach.

"Just a tiny piece, guys." The confident one sang, in a rising tone, only to run as fast as he could the next second, grabbing his less confident partner and putting him away of harm, as several arrows, blades and whatnot were thrown at them, getting stuck on their trail.

"Rip them open, take it back, guys." The soldiers continued.

"I can take a hint, gotta face the facts." He grabbed his friend by the hand. The latter couldn't help but worried as the confident one put the other hand on his face and walked to the nothingness in front of them, dragging him.

"Waaaah." The least confident of the two screamed. Luckily, they found a cloth, one strong enough to have them bounce to another side of the city

"It is just me and you against the world." He continued singing, like nothing had happened.

"I wonder." He answered in dismay.

"Oh it's sad Scourge has hit the bottom." They landed near a group of young women, all panicking at the sight of him. One of them removed the hood he wore, revealing a green hedgehog.

"He's become a a one-man rise in crime." Then, he got closer to the one he found the cutest, invading her personal space. Said girl did her best to be as far from him as possible, but since he had her against the wall, there was no place to run.

The other girls wanted to intervene, but were too scared to do so. The little one in the robe tried to stop him, pulling his clothes, but it wasn't until a large old man came and hit him with a brum in the stomach that he got the idea.

"Little criminal bastard traitor to the crown." He continued, trying to land a second and third hit, but the hedgehog easily sidestepped, away from harm.

"Gotta eat to live, gotta steal to eat. Tell you all about it when I got the time!" He said, before getting away.

"One jump ahead of the slowpokes." The hedgehog got behind a fat man, matching the movement of his legs step by step.

"One skip ahead of my doom." It was useless when a soldier discovered him there.

"Next time gonna use a nom de plume." Several soldiers threw themselves at him. They struggled, thinking they had him. But when the confusion ended, they realized that only the fat man remained.

"One jump ahead of the hitmen." He threw a rock at one of them, leaving him unconscious. He then ran, after revealing his position.

"One hit ahead of the flock." He pulled out his partner, who was caught in a massive mob of people.

"I think I'll take a stroll around the block." He continued his run.

"Stop, thief!" A soldier tried to block his way, but he slid right below his feet and threw him to the floor.

"Vandal!" The soldiers started following them again. However, a little further from them, was a big gap, one that they wouldn't be able to jump.

"Outrage!" The hooded duo jumped, with their gained speed. However, it was thanks to the other hooded figure and his spinning tails, that they flew away, avoiding the big void below them.

"Scandaaaaaaaal!" They screamed, while they fell to the big pile of dirt below them. The hedgehog started laughing at them, enjoying the little scene in front of them. It wasn't until they noticed a shadow covering them that they knew they were in trouble.

They turned around, the thing in front of them was a giant mountain of sand, taking a semi humanoid form, extending its arm to them.

"Let's not be too hasty." The hedgehog stared, stopping her for a second, before he ran the other direction at neck breaking speeds, his partner in hand. At this moment, there was no point on hiding and just escape without any other thought.

"That's being very hasty." She answered. After that, she lifted both arms. Suddenly, on the their way, several pillars of sand, solid like stone, rose. Its objective was to stop the runner, trying to have him crash. The hedgehog barely had it in him to avoid them.

"Gotta eat to live, gotta steal to eat."

"Otherwise we'd get alooooong" He continued, until a pillar rose right were his foot was sending both of them flying.

"Wrong!" The giant sand creature roared, a sand hand emerged and caught both of them.

"One jump ahead of the hoofbeats." The sand hand started shaking on its inside. Before long, they broke free.

"Vandal!" The sand creature screamed, doing an horizontal arm swipe.

"One hop ahead of the hufff Both the hedgehog and the fox were hit by the last move, both getting their air push out of their lungs.

"Bastard!" She screamed, this time lowering her arm at them, with the intention of crushing them.

"One trick ahead of disaster" They rolled away, each going for their own side, before running again.

"Scoundrel!" She tried to wrap them in her sand hands again. Sonic moved to the side of Tails and lifted him bridal style.

(This is so emasculating.) The twin tail fox thought, putting his hands on his face.

"She's quick, but I'm much faster" He ran as fast as his legs let him, finally reaching to the walls that represented the end of Agrabah. His speed and running shape was enough to permit him ran up the walls.

"Take that!" She made hands emerged from the rock solid walls, flailing them wildly, trying and failing to hit them.

"Here goes, better throw my hand in. Wish me happy landin'. All I gotta do is jump!" After dodging the final assault of the sand creature, they were sent flying to the air, thanks to their speed. There, Tails took the lead, grabbed his partner by both hands and started spinning with his tails, flying away from Agrabah.

The sand creature threw her fist to the floor, knowing she couldn't follow them, as leaving the limits of Agrabah without preparation would turn her into normal, lifeless sand. She shrank, returning to her more human form, needing a short break after the last struggle. She was a brown lynx with black stripes and ears, wearing a purple clothing that looked like long and thing pieces of cloth wrapped around her body, forming something that looked like a dress.

"We will get him next time, Ms. Nicole." One of the soldiers told her.

"There shouldn't be a need for a next time." She said, moody.

This time, the lynx became sand again, which was taken by the wind, taking her to the palace in no time.

The lynx gulped a ball of spit that had formed, her concern about failure was at its peak.

"My my, the kitty comes with her tail between her legs." A voice came behind her and Nicole already felt annoyed. She turned around, noticing the well endowed white bat behind her.

Rouge was wearing only a small bra, with no apparent straps to support her head F size boobs, a pink pantie to cover her private area and a black, semitransparent cloth that rounded her hip, her big ass stood out despite the cloth covering it. "I highly doubt that the Princess will be happy." She moved closer to the lynx, with a musical shake of her body, shaking her already visible assets.

"I am ready to take any punishment for my Master." Nicole put her best work face, but the uncertainty in her tone was not lost on the bat.

Rouge put a finger on her shoulders and ran it across them. "My, all this cute little body will be scarred and spoil without remedy, all because the Princess hates even the smallest failures. It is really a shame. I mean, you are powerful and useful. I don't think you deserve such treatment for such a small hindrance." Rouge said with her trademark silky and alluring voice.

"Rouge the bat." The girl being called immediately stiffened, opening her eyes a little.

"Princess Sally." She changed into a convincing happy tone, looking at the Royal woman.

From her ankles, to her wrists and to her mouth, Sally was covered in a single dress with different tones of blue. It had three vertical streaks of blue, changing to stronger intensities the closer they got to her middle. It had pieces of gold sprinkled in that middle streak.

The dress was also made to her measurements, permitting to see her womanly, although somewhat modest curves, nowhere near as pronounced as the bat thought.

"You are dismissed. I will deal with Nicole appropriately." She explained, her voice having a commanding presence.

"But, you highness..." Rouge tried to talk, but Sally beat her to it.

"You are dismissed." This time, the venom on her tone was not lost.

"... Yes, your highness." Rouge ate her pride and moved to the next room. Just as she passed the door, she heard a certain snicker, one belonging to an echidna she knew too well.

"Shut the fuck up, Knuckles!" She turned around and screamed, wanting nothing with him for the time being.

In front of her, Knuckles the Echidna, only wearing baggy pants. As such, it was easy to see that the echidna had a bodybuilder like built, with washboard abs, tree trunk like arms and a perfect inverted triangle as upper body.

He stopped for a second, before entering into a louder, uncontrollable, fit of laughter. This only angered the bat even more, who went and delivered a kick on his stomach, pushing the air out of him.

"Oh, now you will see!" The red echidna threw himself at the bat. The later was not able to react at time, getting push to the floor.

Before either of them was all that aware of what was going on, they had locked hands, Knuckles body above her. Rouge felt the weight of the muscular echidna frame against her boobs, making her let go a deaf scream of pleasure. It was then, that the echidna realized the position both were on. He started to move away from the bat woman, already feeling his most carnal side protesting against that, but Rouge then grabbed a single hand of Knuckles with both her own and pressed her sensible area with it. Her usually firm boob squashed under the pressure of the hand, making Rouge let go another gasp of pleasure.

The sound she was generating only made the echidna feel more ashamed, yet less conflicted with his inner desires. Suddenly, he lifts the well endowed bat from the floor, his hands on her ass. Then, he pushed her against the wall, not hard enough to hurt her and sank his head on her tits, enjoying them and making her gasp more and more. Before she was aware of it, Knuckles removed her bra with his teeth...

Back with Sally and Nicole

In no time, Sally had taken Nicole to her private room. When this happened, the lynx threw herself to the floor.

"Princess Sally, forgive my failures, I will take whatever punishment you order me to take, because my life is in your..." To her surprise, Sally wrapped her arms around her, locking her into a tight hug. After a good while, Sally put some distance between her and Nicole, just to look her at the eyes.

"It wasn't my intention to worry you this much." Sally explained. Nicole looked very confused at the moment. "My plan was to let Sonic steal the scarab. Now the plan can come into fruition." Sally explained.

"Then why didn't I know about it?"

"You... have never being good with lying." Sally admitted, apologetic.

Nicole let go a puff of air. She knew Sally was right, but it didn't make the moment sting any less. She regained her composure fast. "Do you really believe that the hedgehog will find the lamp?"

"I underestimated Sonic once. I perfectly know that it is him who the cave will accept, or no one." Sally admitted.

"I am glad that you desires were actually met, then I will retire." Nicole asked for permission.

"Nicole... I..." Sally started asking, although she looked uncomfortable.

"What is it, your highness?"

Sally then changed to a smile. "Nothing. And go rest, I know those two will try to get the lamp first time in the morning. I will prepare a ritual so you can come with us. If Sonic is able to make a good wish before we take the genie, your powers might be the only thing that can stand in his way." She told her lynx friend. Nicole complied, becoming sand. The moment Sally knew she was gone, her expression went somber. "You no longer calls me princess or Sally." She muttered, thinking that she wouldn't hear her. That was not the case, as Nicole materialized herself again in front of Sally, who took a step back in surprise.

"Well, you are now a queen, so I thought that I should treat you as the supreme leader of Agrabah." Nicole stated.

Sally only stared at her for a while, scolding herself for not challenging Nicole sooner. She would have literally not stressed for months had she done that.

"...Please, keep calling me Princess or Sally." Sally begged. Nicole looked ready to protest, but Sally continued. "You are the only one here who knew me from back then. It means a lot to me."

Nicole smiled at her old friend. "No problem, Sally." She answered. After that, Sally then hugged her tightly, surprising the lynx a bit, but she returned it. However, she didn't close her eyes, and it was obvious she was worried.

Nicole knew why this mattered so much to her, but that was the problem. Sally grabbed herself to her past, to an easier time, but that time no longer existed. She needed to look forward, not backward. She needed to be ready for anything, including sacrificing Nicole.

But Nicole knew Sally couldn't fathom the idea of sacrificing her for the future. And she herself wouldn't let that happen. If anything, she would die herself before Sally even sacrificing her best friend for the future.

Outside the walls of Agrabah

After getting some distance from Agrabah, Tails descended slowly, not only because he was starting to get sore, but also because the further you get from the city, the harder the winds blow, making it impossible to travel by air. And it was just as hard traveling by foot, as giant clouds of dust rose thanks said winds.

If it were not for the fact that both of them knew the exact position of the toward even if they were blindfold, they would have gotten lost and maybe died much sooner. But in what should be considered record time, they found the tower that both of them now considered a home.

The tower was once a lookout post for the times of war meant to serve as a refugee, a break before getting to Agrabah now abandoned thanks to said winds that increased a few years ago, as well of the existence of more sophisticated outlook posts better positioned for the task.

The first thing both of them did, was go to the lower floors, where a natural water fountain existed, one of many below Agrahah and nearby. Here, they took the metaphor of the 'oasis in the sand' a little to literal as they introduced their heads on the precious liquid and drank like they had never tasted water before.

After a good while, the hedgehog took a deep breath, needing it after only drinking for a good while. Here, he stopped, looking at his reflection with sadness. Almost as his reflection was mocking him, making fun of him, something so close but also unreachable. It didn't go unnoticed to the fox at his side.

"Tails, do I look green to you?" He asked, never looking away from his reflection.

"...Yes Sonic." Was his reply.

"But on my reflection, I look blue."

"...Yes Sonic."

Sonic had made Tails that question every time he saw his reflection on water, as the reflection showed a blue hedgehog, but if you saw the source, everyone would agree he was green. The fox was tired of it, but would always answer him patiently, because he knew it was extremely important to him.

Almost like it was the last bit of himself that he could find and he tried to latch on to it as hard as possible, because if he lost it, then maybe he could never be himself again.

Just around two months ago, everything was taken away from Sonic the hedgehog: his family, his kingdom, his identity, thrown into an impossible situation with a single ally to rely on, all caused by the woman he once thought loved him so much that she would never do anything to him.

"Hey, look up! We have the scarab." Tails mentioned with glee, trying to light up his partner. Getting out of the bag, he presented him the gold scarab. "We just need to take this to the cave of Wonders and get the lamp. After that, we can finally solve all of this."

Sonic observed him for a moment, only to slap his face, before returning his trademark smile. "Right, then everything will be fine." He said confident.

Tails smiled weakly. "Go rest. I will check my notes one more time, just in case." He said, before moving up.

The moment Sonic thought Tails no longer looked at him, Sonic expression went sour, concerned about the future. Tails knew this very well, the reason why he left the room to get to work immediately. Sonic wouldn't let him see weakness if he could, but Tails knew Sonic was not fine by any means. He was at the last of his strength, but Tails would do everything in his power to help.
