In the beginning there was nothing except for a lone man. He wandered the empty beaches with untold powers of creation. However, in the realm, there was not a soul around to witness them. He would often sit on the shores of the beach, staring at the rising entity he called the sun and would not dare to go through the lingering forests.
One day, the young man passed a thought. He could create things to accompany him, and make the realm a more social place. He recalled images from his creator of other entities that accompanied things like him. These entities were known as women. As soon as he recalled that, he touches the sand. Out of the sand comes a figure similar to that of him, but in a more lean form. The figure then glowed brightly for an instant, and out of that came a beautiful woman clothed in expensive attire and had a ruby naturally formed in her forehead.
'Hello,' said the man, looking in amazement at his beautiful creation, "What is your name?"
"My name is Cyandra," she tells him, "I have no knowledge of where I have come from and where I am. Do you happen to know?... whatever your name is?"
He gave her a look of reassurance, "It is I who has created you from a memory, for I possess the power to do so. I intend on creating much more for this place, and you will help me do so. As to who I am, my creator may have mentioned it once, but I believe my name is Oryx."
"That's a good name" she tells Oryx, "but how can I help with the creation of all things in this bare land?
"That's been a question that I've asked myself for years." He responds.
There was an awkward moment of silence as Oryx looked at the dense forests less than a mile away. After a few brief moments, he proclaims as he points "If anything, we could begin by walking in that direction."
Cyandra looked at the forest with a concerned look and looked back at him. After another long impatient moment, she tells Oryx, "We should focus more on the populating the beach, rather than rushing deeper inland. Besides, we have yet to see how great your creations can really be, so you should start small here."
Oryx pondered this idea, "Good point Cyandra. I guess creating you first was not at all a bad idea!"
"I remember you telling me that you created me from a memory. Doesn't that mean you can create other things from that memory as well?"
"Wow, you can give me very good ideas! However, you have to give me a lot of time for me to recall all of the information. Oh wait! I now remember something else important."
He touches the ground again, glancing back at Cyandra to see the bewildered look in her face. But now he had to focus his energy in the memory. He sees a large thing in the memory, called a home. It's made of brick and has a wonderful amount of necessities inside. Soon after the memory passes a mud structure pops out of the ground. The mud immediately dried up, and fell immediately to the ground, revealing a small brick structure.
"See," he tells Cyandra, "Now you can have a place to stay while I conjure up my memories and create things"
"Thanks Oryx." She says as she hugs him.
"Your welcome Cyandra. If there is anything that you wish, I will always be available to make it for you."
This is how things came to be in the realm. Now, how all the chaos emerges later… that will be a greater story, for a later time.
