She thinks she's going insane. It'd be so much easier if she was. If she could blame these feelings on mental problems.

The feelings she gets every time John shows up at her door and presses his lips against hers roughly before the two of them stubble back to her bed.

She tries her hardest to find problems with what they are doing, in the early days it was easy; she was in command, he was her subordinate, and she had Simon waiting for her back on Earth.

But situations change, Simon's no longer waiting for her, John isn't her subordinate anymore and she's just a civilian now; kept around just to negotiate.

She sometimes wonders why this first started, why she allowed John into her room the day they found her older self. Why she allowed him to comfort her in a way she wouldn't let anyone else.
Why she let him stay afterwards, kissing her neck and running his fingers down her spine.

She almost certain he knows how much this whole thing concerns her, but he melts away her concern with a brush of his tongue against hers as he places his hand on one of her hips and holds her with a passion and tenderness that shouldn't be in their relationship.

They'd never agreed on rules or codes of conduct but both knew to keep their 'relationship' out of the Atlantis rumour mills. Caldwell's waiting for a reason to send her back to Earth the first chance he gets and she isn't about to let him do that.

Elizabeth snaps back to reality with a moan as John's mouth leaves the hollow of her neck and he stares at her with his gorgeous green eyes.

"Are you okay? You seem distant"

Elizabeth nods slowly before she lets him kiss her and lay her down on her bed.
