Chapter 1: Birth

May was a scientist fairy. She had light green hair pulled back into a ponytail, thick black glasses, and grey eyes. She was at the time working on an experiment she had been working on her whole life--- a clone.

Not a clone of herself, though. She had taken DNA samples—hair—from a few of the fairies she knew, and had combined them to make one.

She was working on the machine which would make her creation, as she did every day. It was almost complete. She smiled, and grabbed her screwdriver, tightening some of the screws. 'Almost done,' she thought. 'Then my clone will come to life.' She plugged some wires in, and then beamed in success. Her machine was finished.

She put the container with the combined samples of hair in it in the correct place, and then plugged the machine in. The moment she had been waiting for for thousands of years—it was finally here! She grabbed the remote control she had created for it and pressed a round, green button. The doors in it closed, and a mysterious light emitted from the inside, as well as a loud humming sound.

About 40 minutes later, the doors opened to a young fairy, about... 10 in human years. He was very strange looking, and looked very scared.

"Whe... Where am I?" He whimpered, looking around.

"Good evening, young clone." May smiled. "My name is May. I am your creator." She reached out a gloved hand towards the young fairy, he looked at it, rather frightened.

May taught him all the things he basically needed to know. He tried so hard to learn it all, and did an okay job. This went on for the next year, which was about the time when May had decided to send him to school.
