I leaned back in my chair. The room darkened as the screen lit up with the movie. Staring board at the screen, the teacher walked back to his desk and sat as well, allowing the production to play through. Bothering me even more was the open door and the stream of light that illuminated the seat just behind me.
Closing my eyes slightly, the boring movie played on, popping them open only when I felt a tap on my arm. Glancing over I gave an exasperated smile to the boy next to me. Snow white hair, gleaming red eyes, Gilbert grinned.
"Let's get outta here," He mouthed. I gave him a look, suggesting he was crazy and we would definitely get caught, but Gilbert shook his head, his grin growing slightly. I glanced back at the teacher, who seemed to engrossed in his work to notice us. I finally nodded.
Watching the teacher carefully, the two of us snuck out the open door, unnoticed by the class.
"Come on!" Gilbert cheered, grabbing me by the arm and sprinting down the empty hall.
"Where are we going?" I questioned, a curious expression crossing my features. Just by the growth of his grin, I knew it involved causing trouble. A small smirk crossed my features, this was gonna be fun.
Running out into the parking lot, Gilbert tossed a helmet at me before climbing on to the silver and black Harley Davidson motorcycle. He gave an expectant look and I climbed onto the back.
If my velocity starts to make you sweat
Then just don't let go
'Cause the emergency room got no vacancy
Tell me who do you trust,
Do you trust
And we just
Get up and go!
Pulling into the lot of the nearest store, I gave him a curious look.
"Gilbert, what are we doing?" I questioned.
Gilbert looked at me and laughed, "Were gonna blow stuff up!" He grinned, speaking quietly so no one would be tipped off. My eyes widened.
"What!"
He laughed harder, "Just come on!" He ran inside ahead and I shook my head. What was he planning. I hurried after him. I found him hunched over on the floor in the cleaning supplies and with a weary look, I approached cautiously. I spotted him just in time to see him drop a small ball of aluminum foil into one of the many bathroom cleaning agents. Closing the lid, he jumped up, his piercing red eyes lit with energy and excitement as he dropped the cleaner, grabbed me by the arm.
"Hurry!" He declared pulling the two of us back toward the entrance. I truly didn't understand what was going on until the bottle exploded behind us, sending the store of customers and staff into a panicking frenzy. Gilbert howled with laughter as he and I ran out with the crowd in an attempt to attract as little attention as possible.
(Who) they want you to be
(Who) they wanted to see
(Go) kill the party with me
And never go home
(Who) they want you to be
(Who) they wanted to see
Just leave the party with me, and never go home
