Everyone screamed the numbers as the time counted down towards the first day of a new year. I stood next to my best friend of 3 years, Draco Malfoy. We both held a glass of wine in our hands and our friends screamed the numbers with us.

Draco arm goes around my shoulders as the numbers got lower. My heart rushed and my face turned pink. My heart began to flutter, I was hopelessly in love with my best friend. Typical.

Excitement ran through my veins, time for another great year. I have a new job, new home. Life really was great.

Happy New Year!
Suddenly a pair of lips smacked against mine. Draco was kissing me. I leaned back and laugh before kissing him and wrapping my arms around his neck. We pulled back again before kissing again.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He whispered.
"Yes." I whispered back, kissing him hard.
"FINALLY!" Blaise shouted in our ears.
We both laughed but soon out lips were back on each others.
Life really was great.
