The further away from Stamford she got, the smaller the nagging, guilty feeling in the pit of Rae's stomach over leaving Chloe behind got. It was a gorgeous day; the sun was splitting the skies, she was on her way to see one of her favourite bands and the most beautiful boy in the world was sitting next to her in the driver's seat. How could she possibly feel any negativity?

Everyone's spirits rose steadily throughout the day and when it was finally time for Oasis to take the stage Rae and the boys were all wound up tight and running on a heady mixture of excitement and cheap beer. And judging by the electric atmosphere of the crowd, everyone else was in the same boat.

The first guitar strums rang out through the stadium and it was like something within the crowd snapped, everyone went wild. To her left, Chop and Archie had their arms around each other as they jumped and whooped and hollered and Finn was on her right, his arms up in the air and a massive grin on his face.

When he caught her eyes on him, Finn bumped her hip with his and offered her a sip of his beer which she accepted with a small smile. She allowed herself to hope that things with her and Finn could be okay. Maybe they could be friends.

As amazing as the band were she couldn't keep her eyes off of Finn. She had never seen him look so happy and free as he bounced along to the music, totally in his element. He looked as joyful as she felt and every time he turned and flashed her a grin she felt like the wind had been knocked right out of her. He was breathtaking.

Noel Gallagher announced that they were about to play Champagne Supernova and Finn did something that both surprised Rae and made her insides turn to mush; he grabbed her hand.

"I fuckin' love this song, Rae!" he exclaimed to her, his eyes wide and his smile bright.

"Same," she replied squeezing his hand.

As the song began to build, Finn moved behind Rae, wrapping his arms around her middle and resting his chin on her shoulder. Her heart was beating hard and fast in her chest and she was sure he could feel it but she didn't care, not when Finn was so close to her, singing quietly in her ear.

"A dreamer dreams, she never dies. Wipe that tear away now from your eye."

"Me and you are fine now, right," he said, lacing their fingers together. "We're going to be best fucking friends whether ya like it or not."

She turned her head to nod at him. "Best fucking friends," she agreed.

Then he sealed their new friendship with a kiss to her temple and Rae knew that if she had to choose one moment to live in forever, this would be the one she would choose. In Finn's arms she felt invincible.
