I own nothing.
It took a lot to get Arthur out of bed after a whole night of drinking. It's been that way since the Brit moved in. Raivis didn't know why he wanted to live here, but he is grateful since Ivan doesn't burden him and his 'brothers' with work…much. The Russian gave most of his attention to the new housemate, getting him to stay longer. Most of the time the Latvian is there along with them, shaking as always as they talked. Throughout their conversations, though, Arthur would pet his head, as if comforting the little man. Ivan obviously took noticed, which is why Raivis is here and not one of his 'brothers'.
Raivis wasn't sure why the usually grumpy Englishman was nice to him, but he was grateful, even if the niceness might be short-lived. Arthur has not yet once hit Raivis, but that doesn't stop the little guy from shaking once in a while when the Brit raises his hand, preparing himself to take the hit only to be petted on the head. Sometimes he'll be asked to sit on the Brit's lap, expecting to be humiliated by being spanked. But no; instead he just sits on one of Arthur's legs and gets petted. Sometimes the petting would be so relaxing that he'll fall asleep, leaning against the Brit. He'll jolt awake realizing what he had done and expect a punishment, only to receive a chuckle and more petting.
Raivis has no idea how to handle the situation without being frighten. So when asked (told) to wake up the Brit, the Latvian became very terrified. He heard Eduard cried out last week when he went to wake Arthur. Came back with a black eye. The Englishman did apologized later, but Ivan told him not to worry about it.
He gulped. "A-Arthur. Time t-to get up," the Latvian shook the sleeping Brit. Arthur muttered in his sleep before burying himself more into the blanket. Raivis tried shaking him again. Arthur didn't move. Raivis tried to calm himself down before daring himself to grad the end of the blanket and pulled it off. His eyes widened.
"A-A-Arthur?! Why are you naked?!"
Ivan was reading the newspaper as both Toris and Eduard looked around nervously. The Russian was in a good mood today and the two couldn't figure out why. They would've been glad, but Raivis was nowhere in sight. They were starting to worry.
Arthur came into the living room yawning. "Oh! Everyone's up already?" he asked, looking around. Ivan smiled before motioning for Arthur to sit in front of him. Toris placed some tea down for the Englishman. "Sorry for keeping you waiting," Arthur apologized.
"Nothing to worry about, comrade."
Raivis didn't come to the living room until close to three o'clock. Ivan didn't punish him, but Toris took note of the Latvian's limping.
No negativity please. Corrections welcomed. Anyways, not sure if I mentioned this but I read that 'Brit' is kind of insulting. I apologize for that, it's just that I've seen others used it and I have before in New Master, I believe. This fic has no relation to that, by the way.
Anyone want to guess what's going on?
