My Heart Hurts

I wrote this when I'd made some stupid mistakes and felt horrible. It provided a great release for my feelings allowing me to go on with the rest of the day. Please feel free to R&R, especially if it helps or touches you.

My Heart Hurts

My heart hurts and I'm not sure why.

I know I made a mistake.

I know I messed up,

But is that why I'm in so much pain?

It hurts it kills.

I almost want to die.

Did I mess up that badly?

Should I hurt this much.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND!

Worry in my heart do I find?

My peace my joy, my hope

Where are they?

Where are my little tears

Those friends that bring comfort

Heal my heart Lord, Please!

I need your Love.

I need your healing touch.

I can't live this life on my own.

I'm so weak, so lost, so small

Let me fall in your arms

Let me lose myself in your vastness

Shift my focus to you and your works.
