Happy Birthday to You

Seamus left the Ministry of Magic feeling exhausted after a particularly hard day of work. He was an auror and had caught three ex-death eaters who were guilty of the murder of several muggles murders and had them locked up in Azkaban, the wizarding prison. It was his 27th Birthday although he wasn't expecting anything special.

He got into his car which was parked on a dull, lonely side street. The car had been enchanted so that it could fly but he had to park it away from the muggle eye to avoid unwanted attention that could expose wizardry to the world. Seamus started the engine and shifted the gears into 'fly' then slowly the car began to lift off of the ground up into the sky. Seamus clicked a button which turned the car invisible to be sure that no muggles would suspect a thing. He flew all the way home to his house in the remote wizarding village of Hogsmeade. Seamus and his friends used to go there sometimes when they were in Hogwarts and of course children from the school continue to this day to go there at weekends and in their free time.

As Hogsmeade came up on the horizon Seamus lowered the car and it touched down just outside a small cottage. The kitchen light was on so Seamus knew that his partner was home. He walked to the front door and pushed the handle but the door was lying ajar and so it swung open. There was silence inside the house as Seamus shut the door after him. "I'm Home" He shouted hoping that someone would show themselves or shout. He walked into the kitchen, but there was no body there. He dumped his brief case of the dining table and went into the living room. "SURPRISE!" POP BANG BANG POP. Seamus was startled by the astounding sound. All of the people that had been fellow students with him at Hogwarts -some he hadn't seen for years- were standing around the living room -which was decorated with banners and balloons- with party hats on their heads. "Happy Birthday Seamus!" everyone said together. "Yes, Happy Birthday Seamus." Said a very familiar voice.

Dean Thomas had been one of Seamus' fellow Gryffindors and his best friend until their last year at Hogwarts when they both admitted their undying love for one another and how they could never live without each other, so they now lived together in this house. "Did you do all this for me?" Seamus said quietly to Dean tearing up. "Of course, I would do anything for you Seamus!" Dean replied and leaned in to kiss Seamus and the whole room was full of cheer. They kissed passionately for what seemed like a lifetime. They finally released from the amazing kiss and looked right into each others eyes. "Thank you so much Dean, I love you" "I love you too Seamus"

The party went on for hours, talking and music echoed throughout the quiet village. Finally when they had just said 'thank you so much for coming and goodbye' to the last guest could they finally have time to themselves. "Hey Seamus what do you say we go upstairs and make some noise!" Dean said with a seductive smile. "I'd love to Dean" Seamus said back with a twinkle in his eye. "I'm going to make this your Best Birthday Ever !" Said Dean confidently as he took Seamus by the hand and lead him upstairs to their bedroom.
