Steve and Emma have been working on their marriage but the problem was mostly because he kept leaving town when they were trying to get pregnant with their first child.
"Steve, you can't just leave again. We are trying to get pregnant." Emma pleaded with her husband.
"I am sorry but you know that my job forces me to leave even when I don't want to leave you." He said as he tried to give her a hug.
"No don't touch me." She cried to him. He turned and got ready to go. When he finished packing, he tried again to wrapped his arms around her to give her a hug but there was nothing that she wanted from him.
"Please don't be mad. I promised that the next time I am back we will make the baby." He said to her as he gave her a small kiss on the forehead.
Three months later
Emma has not heard from her husband for about three months and she's about to go on the vacation that they were planning to go see his dad. Emma had a secret that she could not wait to tell him about if he would hurry up and get back home. She boarded the plane and headed to Hawaii where she was met by Steve.
"Oh my god. You are here." She said as she wrapped her arms around his neck. She had missed him so much that she did not care about the fight that they had right before he left. "I have something to tell you."
"So do I so why don't you go first." He responded to her.
"I'm pregnant." She said as she took his hands to her stomach and let him feel the small bump that was filling out.
"Oh my god. that's great." He responded to her as he took his hands away from her stomach.
"What's wrong?" She asked him.
"My dad just died." He responded to her.
"Oh my god, Steve." She said as she started to cry. He wrapped his arms around her and let her cry.
