The beast- no- Adam was alone and down on his luck... He and Bell had been in love, or so he thought. The months they had spent together, the memories, the warm embraces. Everything he loved about her, her laugh, her smile. That twinkle she got in her eye when he did would eventually do something wrong. All gone, because she was a furry.

But that was fine! If she would move onto greener pastures, so would he! A new human prince born of flesh, he would setsail for a new companion.

The prince, lost in thought and forgetting he wasn't in his palace, had fallen into a lake! As The Beast, Adam had never bathed. He had so badly wanted to become the elusive "musky husky" but his servants would always find a way to spray him down with their stubby hands. The detication to keep their prince in some sembelance of clean was astounding.

But that's beside the point, the point is Adam- having never willingly touched water in his earthly life- had never learned to swim! Surely it was over for him...the last thing he could see as his vision faded to black, was a jumble of letters swimming past his eyes.

. .

When he awoke, he noticed a red headed figure turned away from him, their hair cascading down their back in a wet mop. "Hewwo?" The prince croaked. The figure's head snapped back to face him so quick Adam should've heard a crack, but instead he saw the most gorgeous being to grace this earth. Her stringy soaked hair fell forward into what he would presume to beher face, but instead of anything like eyes or a nose, she has beautiful letters, written in all sizes. She looked back to the sea, and made a move to leave, but Adam's arm weakly shot out.

"Wait!-" he called, interupped by a nasty cough, water rising up from his lungs to his mouth. That seemed to catch the fair maiden's attention, as she sccoted away from the shore closer too him. He breifly noticed her tail, and wondered if his appriciation for this creature made him a scaley.

"Please," he begged, reaching a hand out. Lovingly, the creature reached forward to inwine her fingers with his own, reaching her hand down to cup his face. He pressed into her palm, it held no warmth but it supplied comfort all the same. "Please.." he repeated, "What is your name?"

Had she had a mouth Adam waa certian it would be pinched into a beautiful smile. He could see her font shift, and something about it seemed light, almost whimsical.

"I'm Arial!"
