Ziva looked over at the Christmas tree that stood in front of the window. It was huge, over seven feet tall and brightly decorated with glowing lights. Scattered through the branches lay small ornaments that various agents and other workers had brought in. The cheer was punctuated randomly with small skulls wearing Santa hats, and some black angels (They're not demons, Abby had assured her. They're fallen angels, and angels are very Christmasy.)

Remembering Abby, she made her way past the tree and headed towards the elevator. Tony was there, waiting for the doors to open. He smiled as she approached.

"Going down, m'lady?"

Ziva nodded. "I need to thank Abby for the gift she bought me. Brain Matter's newest CD."

Tony gave her a sideways glance as the doors opened and they stepped inside. "At least try and sound convincing when you tell her you love it. She's very sensitive about these things."

She sighed heavily and they stood in silence for a couple of seconds before Ziva realized that he was staring at her with a huge grin on his face.

"What?"

Tony pointed up. Taped to the ceiling of the elevator was a large green decorative plant of some sort.

Ziva looked at Tony in surprise. "Is that...?"

He took a step towards her, the sly grin still on his face. "Mistletoe."

Her heart skipped a beat as his hot breath brushed against her face. "Oh" was all she could manage before his hand found it's way to the back of her neck and pulled her in close for a soft kiss.

She stood stiffly for a couple of seconds, completely in shock, before she relaxed and kissed him back. She melted into him, and the kiss deepened. Her arms went around his neck, and one of his arms slid beneath her butt and hoisted her up. Her legs wrapped around him and her back connected with the wall. She felt three years worth of tension slide out of her body as they held each other tighter, kissed each other harder, her fingers tangling in his hair and his tongue sliding over her own. In the back of her mind, she heard a small ding, but it took a second for her to realize what it was. By the time her mind registered the sound, Tony had also heard it, and he broke apart hastily.

The doors opened just in time for McGee to see Ziva and Tony quickly backing away from each other, Ziva adjusting her shirt and Tony adjusting his hair. Trying to keep the shock off his face, he brushed past Tony as he quickly exited the elevator. Ziva stayed in the elevator, face slightly red.

It wasn't until the elevator had started moving again that Ziva realized she had forgotten to get out at Abby's floor. Oh well. She would thank her later. She looked over at McGee, who was staring at her with a puzzled look in his face.

Feeling the need to justify their actions, she quickly said "Do not get too close to me, McGee." She pointed upwards. "Mistletoe."

His eyes lifted to where she was pointing, and he stared for a couple minutes, before his eyes slid back down to her, his mouth slightly agape. "Uh... Ziva? Um, well... Actually... That's not...uh."

"Spit it out, McGee!"

Should he tell her? Tony would probably kill him. Maybe he didn't know. Maybe he got confused. No way, Tony would definitely know what mistletoe looks like. He wouldn't have been confused.

"Ziva, that's not mistletoe." He watched as her mouth dropped open and a million emotions passed through her eyes. Surprise, confusion, happiness...

"That's just some holly." She turned her head but he could still see the small smile that slid across her features. "It's not mistletoe."
