"haha, did you see the guy's face when you went all crazy on him?" Emma tells him when they reached far enough. She laughs and it comes out naturally; she hasn't laughed like this in awhile. It seems to just keep bubbling out of her.
"Let's just hope he won't call the cops on us." Neal tells her seriously. He frowns but then slowly grins as he pulls out a phone from his pocket. "Well, if he still had his phone."
"Sweet!" Emma giggles as she takes out the wallet she stole borrowed from the guy. It's filled with credit cards, most that seem easy to crack and use. As she flips through them, she comes across a photo. It's of a guy with his kid, and they look so happy that Emma takes a longer look at it. The kid is on her father's shoulders and her grin is so huge you can see her front two missing tooth.
"So, any use from the wallet?" Neal tells her as looks over Emma's shoulder. He stops when he sees the picture, and how Emma seems to grab it tightly.
"Looks like he had a kid," Emma tells Neal as the photo is still in her hand. The tree they were under shaded them from the sun, but Neal could feel Emma's cheeks burning up. A sign of guilt he has noticed Emma would have.
"Yeah, they all do have. Doesn't matter." Neal tells her jokingly.
"I didn't." She tells him shortly, but he could feel the rest of her thoughts in it.
"Hey, hey, hey," Neal tells her soothingly, "we can have that."
"Have what?" Emma tells him as she looks up from the picture. She's grinning but her eyes displayed her confusion.
"You know…" Neal takes a step towards Emma and brings his face close to hers, "a family…" he whispers gently to her. Their noses are practically touching, that's how close he is.
That seemed to break the spell. Realization hits Emma, and she takes a step back away from Neal as she blushes. "Hold up mister, I just met you." She tells him as she puts up her hands and moves them around as though they'll swat away his proposal. "Don't get ahead of yourself."
Neal looks surprised but grins as fast as he can. "haha, don't worry. I was just saying." Neal replies, but doesn't explain further. He ruffles his hair looking confused, but smiles and hope Emma doesn't freak out more.
She seems to accept his explanation and goes back to pulling out the money from the wallet. At least she wasn't looking at the picture anymore. "So, we should, um, get going before the police come." Emma tells him and looks at him hesitantly.
Neal didn't point out that the police would have been there by now. He just tugs Emma's ponytail one time and heads on, leading her back to their home.
