Returning to Mystic Falls was not something he had planned, getting revenge on his brother how ever was. What Damon didn't expect was to see Katherine again the woman he had spent one hundred and forty five years searching for. Surprise would be an understatement as he observed the woman wanting to run to her and question her for why she had never sought him out, but as he studied her he had sadly come to find out that this woman, this girl was not his Katherine Pierce. If it wasn't her personality that gave her away, the sound of a beating heart sure did. He wasn't sure how long he had been following her, observing this girl who he guessed was around the age of sixteen or seventeen years old, but he knew he had to know more about her, the fact that he had been spying on his brother and had found out that he too was interested in her caused Damon's curiosity to spike even more. More than anything he wanted to get his answers, but he decided on taking it slow and observing more, still the fact that she looked exactly like Katherine, except for the straight hair instead of ringlet curls that he was use to was getting to him. Settling to deal with him sort of satisfaction he finds himself writing a letter, and even though he's the dark, heartless monster he still has the power to make the letter sound romantic.
Deciding to remain somewhat of a Mystery he doesn't sign his full name only adding a cursive D at the end. Satisfied he hands it to his loyal crow Merlo who accepts it in his talons, a small smirk plays on his dark features as he gives his orders and watches as the crow takes off into the night sky heading towards his ordered destination as he drops the letter carefully on the sill of her opened window and then flies off heading once again towards the direction of his master.
IfI could write the beauty of your eyes, and number all your graces, the age to come would say this poet lies. Such heavenly touches never touched earthly faces.
