"Mai." Joey called, trying to find the gorgeous blonde. It was Valentines Day, and Joey had FINALLY gotten enough confidence to ask her out, for dinner and a movie.
"Mai!" He yelled, louder then the first time. "Where are you?!"
Mai was sitting out side her own house, reading a romance book;
it was Valentines Day, after all. Her eyes moved steadily along the page. She liked this book. I think I'm falling in love By Sharmat. She brushed a golden lock of hair out of her pretty face, and smiled, as she neared the conclusion of the book. This is so romantic. She thought to herself. I wish Joey were as romantic as this. She smiled pleasantly as she imagined Joey taking her to an exclusive café, for a candlelit dinner and a relaxing stroll across the beach, watching the sunset.
Joey walked in the direction of Mai's house, figuring that's where she'd most likely be. {{No duh.}}
"MAI!?" He called, cupping his hands over his mouth, just like a megaphone. Mai continued to daydream about her dream date with her dream man, with an absentminded look on her face. She stared off into the distance, her eyes twinkling, and her hair blowing without restraint.
Joey walked up, into her driveway. He noticed Mai, gazing, almost longingly, into space. She looked beautiful. I can't believe I'm going to do this.finally. I've waited forever.what's restraining me? He took a deep breath, and walked up to Mai.
"Mai." He gently said her name. She was instantly snapped back into reality. She blinked several times.
"Joey?"
"Okay.Um.would you like to.. um.go out on a date.with me.tonight?" He said, hesitant, and afraid she was going to say 'No.'
"Joey." She blinked and blushed bright red and then she lowered her eyes to the ground. "I-I-I would.love to." She smiled, shyly.
"You-You would?!" He nearly jumped for joy.
She smiled. "Of course I would. Why wouldn't I?"
"Um.Never mind." You're way too good for me.
"So." Mai stood up, and brushed off, dropping the book onto the chair. "Where to?"
"Movie and dinner." He said, still grinning. She smiled. Joey held out his arm, and she took it, also smiling.

He walked a little away from her house. "YES!!" He shouted, jumping up into the air. "YES!"
