A/N: My friend happened to ask me while watching Wolf's Rain if Kiba would pee on Cheza since she liked to think of Cheza as a tree and it become a little joke of ours. So I wrote this short story for her about it.

P.S NOT meant to be taken seriously, it's just a joke story full of OOC-ness since I highly doubt Kiba would even think of doing what he nearly does, so please don't flame! I love these two together though so there's no KibaXCheza hate!

Cheza, The Fire Hydrant Replacement

Kiba and Cheza had gotten separated from the others in the fierce storm that had passed a while ago now.

They had been walking around for ages and were exhausted. Everywhere they looked it was barren, desert.

They decided to stop for a rest and to get some sleep. They would never find the other wolves wondering around aimlessly.

Cheza sat down and gestured for Kiba to lie down next to her like he usually did. Kiba would do anything to protect Cheza and justified it as his way of making sure she was safe.

He sat down and rested his head on her lap. She started to stroke his head to help him drift off into a peaceful, pleasant dream filled sleep.

Reality ebbed away and Kiba became lost in a sea of trees. He sat there and took in a deep breath trying to breath in the scents of the forest.

But the only think he could smell was this uplifting flowery scent, it seemed so familiar but Kiba's brain was too disconnected from reality to remember where he had encountered the scent before.

He wandered around trying to locate the source of this wondrous scent, cursing that he didn't have Hige with him to help.

Eventually his nose lead him to a huge tree with pale purple leaves and deep pink flowers growing all over it. He walked right up to it letting its scent fill his nostrils and admired the tree. Suddenly he had the urge to make this his tree his, so that no other wolf could look at its beauty.

He turned slightly to the side and cocked his back leg slightly...

"What is Kiba trying to do to this one?" Kiba's eyes snapped open and realised the forest and his tree had disappeared.

He looked to where the tree had been, only to see Cheza standing there and staring at him with her mouth open. She looked shocked yet confused at the same time, as if she wasn't quite sure what was happening.

It took Kiba a few seconds to register what had happened. Then he realised the trees scent was actually the scent of lunar flowers, the same scent that Cheza had, and Kiba was standing in front of her with his back leg cocked.

Hige, Tsume and Toboe turned up just in time to see a blushing Kiba. They stopped in their tracks and it took them a moment to register the scene that was in front of them.

It looked like Kiba was trying to pee on Cheza.

Kiba quickly repositioned himself so that he was standing a little distance away from Cheza and his blush of embarrassment deepened at the site of the others staring at him.

There was an awkward silence while the wolves stared at Kiba in disbelief. It was hard for them to understand that Kiba, who was willing to risk his life to save Cheza, had been about to mark her as his in a very disturbing way.

Cheza was first to speak and brake the awkward silence that had descended upon them, "Did Kiba think this one was a fire hydrant?"

Kiba would never live this down.
