"Mr. Castle, can I talk to you for a minute?"

They both turned when Captain Gates called. Her face, if it was possible, looked even more serious than usual as she looked directly to Castle. He turned to Beckett with a face that pretty much screamed "we're screwed" and got up from her desk to walk to Gates' office.

Beckett looked around to make sure Esposito and Ryan weren't anywhere near and took a small mirror off her drawer to check on her appearance. Her hair wasn't really messed up, which was more than she could say about Castle's, but her clothes wasn't exactly the way they were when she left her house.

She put the mirror away and mentally yelled at herself. That had to stop. It was, what, the fourth day straight that happened? What was it about the elevator, anyway? It was unbelievable. Whenever she and Castle stepped into an elevator, specially the precinct's, it was like some kind of magnetic force pushed them together. Maybe it was the feeling of absolutely privacy for a few seconds. Or maybe it was the fact that Castle's cologne really messed with her head and turned her into a different and more passionate Kate Beckett.

"So" Beckett jumped when she heard Castle's voice coming from somewhere close to her left ear and slowly turned to face him, trying to remember why she couldn't just throw herself at him right there. All the reasons she could come up with just vanished from her head as she looked into his stunning blue eyes.

"So...?" she repeated, trying desperately to keep her mind away from the thought of her lips against Castle's. It wasn't easy, especially when he licked them with the tip of his tongue before speaking.

"We forgot the elevator has cameras."

There was nothing she could say but the one word that was written all over Castle's face.

Fuck.
