Summary: After Dean's been torn to shreds and dragged to Hell before his eyes, there is a void in Sam that's waiting to be filled. Set after 3.16, "No Rest for the Wicked"
He's never been much of a drinker. Hasn't got the stomach for it. Same with drugs. He recalls how Jess and Brady made fun of him after he'd tried to smoke a joint and ended up hurling his guts out. The vodka he'd nervously gulped down before hadn't helped either. So at first he can't name the craving that's crawling through his body and mind, calling for more – more – more. He's just thirsty. Thirsty for the stuff that seems to distill his despair and solitude and helpless rage into power. Thirsty for revenge. And Ruby delivers with a satisfied smile.
