While the case was local, JJ wasn't guaranteed to be home that night, Will and Henry both knew it. When the team caught the guy Hotch sent everyone home, telling them tomorrow they could do all the reports. JJ was quiet coming into the house, she didn't know if Henry was asleep, after walking up the stairs she found out he wasn't. Instead of letting them know she was home she stood outside listening to Will and Henry talk.
"Buddy it's time to go to bed."
"I can't yet."
"Why not?"
"My brain is not tired."
Will laughed at his son's reasoning, he was more like JJ every day.
"Okay, what would you like to do to make your brain tired?"
"Can we sing?"
"We can. What song would you like?"
Henry thought about it for a minute, then smiled.
"The boy's song from Frozen."
Will laughed, Henry loved that movie.
"Okay, you do Sven."
Henry nodded his head excitedly.
"Reindeers are better than people. Sven, don't you think that's true?" Will started.
"Yeah, people will beat you and curse you and cheat you. Every one of them's bad except you." Henry sang in his best reindeer voice.
"Oh, thanks buddy. But people smell better then reindeers. Sven, don't you think that I'm right?" Will sang trying not to laugh.
"That's once again true. For all except you." In his reindeer voice.
"You got me, let's call it a night. Good night, don't let the frost bite."
Will and Henry started laughing, JJ giggled in the hallway.
"Okay, buddy it's time to close your eyes."
"Love you daddy."
"I love you too."
JJ stayed in the hall, she didn't want to get Henry excited. She smiled at Will as he come out of the room.
"Best thing I have heard all day. I love you." She whispered before giving him a kiss.
