Chapter 1: Jantul Saved the world

Jantal was swimming for dear life. He could hear the restless sea dwellers behind him, and his head was pounding something fierce. It's was that Magenta-blooded heiress lusus. He had no idea how that yellow-blooded sea dwellers wasn't experiencing the same pain. Then again, Jantul didn't have time to worry about such things. He raced back into shore, running as fast as he could, watching as his hive became closer. Something ripped into his back, and Jantul screeched. One of the sea dwellers had followed him! What looked to be ghastly, rotted horn had rooted itself deep into the burgundy block's back. He felt an odd sensation as the horn was torn from his back, almost as if a thousand little grubs were dancing on his back at once. He collapsed, wonder filling him as he watched every light in his respite block flip on as the sea dwellers departed. Several trolls, about 6 solar sweeps in age each, ran out to greet him. They chirped wildly, then lifted him and carried him off to another section of the block. Jantul, even in his drugged state, knew where he was going. He was going to see the only 8 sweep child in his block. Marquz Montea, the great descendent of Method the grub stealer, was going to treat him.

Jantul fought against the smaller trolls, knowing that most of Marquz patients hardly ever came back from the oversized hive. Marquz, a jade blood, sentenced to life watching the brooding caverns deep within Alteria, was obviously bitterly taking out her frustrations out on her poor patients. Jantul squirmed as he was dropped on her step. A small bronze blood knocked on the oversized door, and waited. Younger trolls began to come out their hives while Marquz 's heavy foot steps echoed down the halls. She doing the door open, and Jantul was pushed forward. The other trolls scattered after one look from the eyepatched jade blood, and Jantul was dragged inside. "So, what do we have? Lusus fight? Angry tree? Sea dwellers?" Jantul leaned back to avoid Marquz as she tried to spin him around to inspect his back. "Look, I know you mean well, but I was dragged in here against my will. I have a lusus to feed an- AAhhhhhhhhhhh." Jantul felt an odd clawing sensation down his back as his impatient doctor rubbed a serum around and into his wounds. " It was the teal blood who did this, correct?" He nodded. " Ancestor left him a claw hook that can cut into anything. Made outta the horns of lowbloods." Marquz gave Jantul a small box containing the serum. " Apply daily, and go out the back door. Hive bedrest for the next week. No exceptions." Jantul hastiley agreed, and wandered from Marquz's backdoor to his hive. He climbed into his recoprcoon, and wondered if it wasn't Marquz killing patients, but the injuries caused by the sea dwellers.
