New Moon Poem based on When Edward left. I actually tried to write a song, but it's more like a poem with a chorus. Enjoy!

FORSAKEN

I TELL MYSELF,

I Must protect you,

Leaving you

The only way.

You are,

Only human love,

And will forsake,

My love someday.

I promised you,

No reminders,

You could forget,

Keep moving on.

While I'm curled up,

In agony,

Each hour so painful,

So very long.

(possible chorus if it was a song and not a poem)

You must give up

Don't feel forsaken,

Move past,

Losing this haunted face.

Please my love,

Don't feel forsaken,

My love so strong,

I must leave this place.

I know,

I can only bare this pain,

Because I've left,

And your now secure.

I plead inside,

Tell myself,

For her, for her,

You must endure.

My plan for you,

to relinquish my love,

No destiny should be,

So filled with strife.

It was wrong,

to steal your future,

You deserve,

Much more from life.

A life,

I could never give you,

A gift,

I can't bestow,

I can only take away,

It's why,

Why I had to go.

It was selfish,

Just to take you,

From my world,

You need no part,

Please know,

My love for you,

is absolute,

Never forsaken

In my soul,

In my blood,

In my heart.
