Unlikely Allies
AN: Alternate version of the episode Puppet Show. What if someone else figured out Sid was alive when Buffy and the Scoobies did?
Buffy struggled to lift the large chandelier that had her pinned to the ground. She Heard scampering, which made fear build in the pit of her stomach.
"Who's ever out there, I'm gonna hurt you! Badly! If you'll just gimme a minute..." She threatened the unseen foe. After finding Morgan's body she doubted this was going to be easy.
The stage door opened once again.
"What in the world..." The voice of Snyder the school Principle said furiously as he entered. He looked to Buffy. He was just leaving when the sound of the chandelier hitting the stage drew him back
'This is not my day.' She thought looking to the man who already hated her.
"Miss. Summer's vandalizing school property I see..." He was about to go into a rant, that would end with him suspending, or maybe expelling her. To his astonishment he saw a Dummy, without a person moving towards Buffy, holding a knife. He stabbed at Buffy just missing her head as he brought the knife down. Buffy flailed out with her left arm and knocked Sid the Dummy away. Snyder stepped back in shocked, he stuttered trying to find something to say, but words failed him.
She tries lifting again, but to no avail. She looks back to where she saw Sid and sees his knife poised above her. She turns her head just in time Buffy then managed to shift the chandelier making escape possible. Sid attacked from behind, but once again he's knocked back, his knife knocked out of his hand. Buffy jumped on top of Sid and pinned him against the wall with her arm.
"You win. Now you can take your heart and your brain and move on."
"I'm sure they would have made great trophies for your case."
"That woulda been justice."
"Yeah, except for one thing: you lost, and now you'll never be human."
"Yeah, well, neither will you."
Both Sid and Buffy looked to each other, considering what they had said for a moment.
"What?" They both said at the same time.
"Miss-Miss Summers!" Snyder shouted, not fully regaining himself. Sid looked over to him.
"OOPS, forgot he was here, this could make things difficult." He said. Sid still had to find the demon.
"You have no idea." Buffy said letting out a groan, she kept Sid pinned to the wall. She picked up Sid and walked over to Snider. "I think this will be easier if Giles explains it to you." I've got a dummy I've got to talk to."
Snyder looked to the doll. "It's alive!" He exclaimed, still shocked.
"Ya, that we already covered, look just come to the library with me." She said and began the walk. Snyder stood still for a second. Then followed, this ways his school and he did have to keep things in order, combusting cheerleaders, lots of death's and principles being eaten alive. He had to stay in control, know everything that was going on to stay alive and he would. He then followed.
Living Dummies, that was new. He knew about vampires...but dummies that was new.
