I don't really agree with optimistic type people, so I'm showing Tohru in a different light. She's struggling to keep her optimism about her on a daily basis. I never could understand how a person could be optimistic all the freakin' time! I guess since I'm pessimistic I wouldn't understand huh? Since we're kind of polar opposites I never did like her character and don't have any idea whatsoever how she snagged Kyo! He could have done so much better I swear! Lol!

This cold day in May

Now I know how she felt when daddy died

Least I don't have to pay no rent
I don't have many friends
People usually pity or dislike me
A dimwit! They say
I'm so happy! Oh so happy!
I know today's gonna be a good day!
I remember when I was real little
The kids would play games
They invited me to join one day
Boy, was I happy!
It was a fruit naming game
And I was the onigiri
Little did I know
As I waited and waited
That there was no room for an onigiri in a fruits basket
I'm so happy! Oh so happy!

Me smiling and being nice
Is just a front
I'm paying the price
Being used like a doormat
And treated like a child
But, it's okay
Cuz I've learned to live with a sense of helplessness

I'd much rather take the back row
My heart definitely isn't as light as my personality is
I wonder how long I can keep faking it
