And so, I told them the truth.
That I met the best friend,
That I ever did have,
And courage you did lend,
And strength you did send.

And that they would be too,
Because, without you there,
Everything, I would have dread.
I said that you
Were the real hero,
And that you made me start anew,
And I told them all about you.
I told how you fought,
I told how you taught,
And that without you,
Everything would be naught.
Cause you are the hero,
And all the others, too,
But to me,
It was mainly you.
You save me countless times,
And always thought of me,
Never of yourself,
And that without you I would never be.
The same.
Cause in my eyes…
And this isn't a lie,
But you to me,
You see…
You were the hero.
