It was our fault. No if's, and's or but's. No one as to blame but us. Even if there were any others, they couldn't take it. They were all gone. Our fault. A monster had killed them. Our fault. Because we created this monster. We turned a good man into a monster. We made a monster out of Percy Jackson. Evil!Percy! Remorseful!gods! Read, It's a good story, I swear.

It was our fault. That was undeniable. The world was ending, and there was no one to blame but us. Zeus insists it was Drake's fault. He cannot bear to take the blame. But the blame was all ours. We were gullible. We were fools. We believed a fake over a hero. And now the world was suffering for it.

He's burnt Western Civilization to the ground. I don't even know why we still exist. He doesn't either. But He'll make sure this mistake is remedied soon enough.

I want to say I don't know how we got here. But I do. I remember it all like it was yesterday. Drake's accusation. His confused face. His death. His return. His revenge. And here we are. The cause of our predicament is my greatest regret. A regret I wish I could take back with every drop of incor in my veins. But alas, I cannot.

If only I had known that the His death would bring on the end of the world. They say hindsight is 20/20. It appears that I need glasses for living current moments. We all do.

Not that it would be of any use anyways. He's coming. He takes no prisoners. We're all as good as dead. No use for optimism now. We're on death's doorstep. And we know it. Won't be long now. A minute, maybe less.

He bursts through the wall. 28 seconds to spare. I look at Him. He looks the same as he did 1,000 years ago. The unruly raven hair. The tanned skin. The piercing green eyes. My eyes. I look at him sadly. I'm done with denial. I'm done with claiming that this is not my son. Because he is. He is a shell of the man he used to be, and yet I helped create this new version of him as well. I am still his father.
