It was an average day at Odd Squad precinct 13579.
Oona was in her lab thinking up new gadgets for agents to work with and Ocean was in the creature room tending to the animals
Ms. O was in her office as usual; watching everyone work from afar and watching out for anything unusual.
Ms. O got up from her desk and took a deep breath.
"Oona! Ocean! In my office-- NOW!" Ms. O yelled across headquarters.
"Uh oh..." Oona and Ocean said.
They both stopped what they were doing immediately and hurried to Ms. O's office as soon as possible.
"Did you call us, Ms. O?" Oona asked, tired from running.
"Yes. Take a seat, agents." Ms. O replied calmly as usual.
Oona was nervous at the fact that Ms. O called her into her office and with Ocean of all people.
"Did we do something wrong? Did Ocean do something wrong? Did I do something wrong?!" Oona asked frantically.
"Worry not, Oona. You two haven't done anything bad at all lately but the topic I am about to talk does concern you two." Ms. O answered.
"What is it?" Ocean asked.
"Starting today, you and Ocean will be partners." announced Ms. O.
"I'm sorry," Oona said as she chuckled, "What?"
"I said.. Starting today, and Ocean will be partners. Do you have any complaints?" Ms. O repeated with more intensity and ferocity.
"N-no Miss, it's just that.. Why choose me and Ocean specifically?" Oona questioned.
"You two have been the most independent acting agents out of everyone here." Ms. O answered.
"What about Octavia?" Oona added
"She has a partner. He's just invisible." Ms. O replied.
"Oh yeah.." Oona said, "But still--!"
"'But' nothing. What I say goes. Do you have any problems with this, Ocean?" Ms. O said.
Ocean nodded his head sideways nervously but quickly showing he didn't oppose Ms. O's orders at all.
"Then that's that." Ms. O said, "Good luck agents."
"Yes, Ms. O.." Oona and Ocean said in Unison as they walked out.
"Oh," Ms. O added "And don't worry, it's only temporary."
