She walks alone and afraid,
Bewildered by the world around her,
A life is taken and air is still.
Tears fall from her cheeks,
Like shimmering Crystals,
They drop to the ground and melt the ice of death.
She looked at her hands,
The very hands that killed him,
She killed him out of anger and revulsion.
All she did in her life was despise him,
She would scare him off,
She made a mistake...she loved him.
She wants nothing more than to be with him,
Nothing more than to hold him tight,
To press lips and be with him one last time.
She walks up to him,
Looking down at his wound,
Blaming herself is all she could do.
She kneels down to hold him in her arms,
She leans toward him,
She kisses him.
The dagger slit his heart,
Both ways,
With love and death they bind.
She pulled it out and raised it,
It came closer to her chest,
She hoped it would end soon.
A voice came from a distance,
It called her name,
It begged.
It told her to save her life,
To live with belief and pride,
Not to use his death for a reason to kill herself.
She looked down,
She wanted to be with him,
To live in peace with him.
She told him softly,
She whispered in his ear the words of truth,
" I will love you now and forever, no matter what form you come to me
from."
Her eyes shut in fear,
He would not open his for eternity,
They lay there still dark.
A voice came again,
Like rose peddles on a calm flowing river,
Weak at first, then soothing like a melody.
She looked down upon him,
His eyes shown bright in hers,
The sparkle touched her heart.
"I am yours forever,
I will never let you fall,
I am your spirit of fire...and fire never dies."
She smiled as he spoke,
Her eyes filled with warm wonder,
Her skin now bright and gold.
Her showed her the truth,
The wisdom of life,
Now she and he live in peace as King and Queen of love.
She still remains a princess,
But now more than before,
She is the Fire Bird and flies free with no worries.
Bewildered by the world around her,
A life is taken and air is still.
